I buy shoes that are comfortable and on sale either from Sports Authority or Famous Footwear. Usually have coupons so that always helps.

I buy Asics gel (different varieties), they are the most comfortable walking shoes, and recommended by my podiatrist.

The most comfortable shoes I've bought have been a pair of Sketchers that I got at Foot Locker.  They're kind of expensive but well worth the money.

I have a few of them and I just buy my shoes wherever they have something I like, just this past weekend we went to Ross and I found a new pair of tennis shoes for exercise that are very comfortable, and light.

It seems that when I am walking for a few minutes, it's ok, but I start hurting once I have walked for about half an hour.  Suffering with Arthritis is a *bleep*.

The last pair of sneakers I bought were Sketchers.  They have the memory foam in them and they feel so good.

I really think it depends on the individual.  I, personally, haven't ever found a really comfortable shoe except for a well-cushioned athletic shoe and for those you will pay a hefty sum of money.

I buy walking shoes at JC Penney, because they have wide width ones. :D They are pretty soft from the outside. They're pretty expensive, but totally worth it.

Thatks for your posts, everyone. Now I have some more ideas of where to buy shoes!
