It all depends on how exhausted I am and how much work I have done during the day.  If I'm totally pooped I immediately fall asleep, if not I think of all of the things on my to do list for the following day before falling asleep.  ;)

No my brain works 24/7. I am always thinking. I even had an erotic, well, not really, a sort of sexy dream last night. So, my brain is moving along just fine.

I have the same problem, so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open, the minute my head hits the pillow, my eyes pop open and i start thinking about the list of things I need to do the next day.

Yes I haven't had a good night sleep in years, when I lay down I just think about everything that's going on and when I do get to sleep I wake up and can't get back to sleep.

My brain never shuts down so I have to take melatonin to fall asleep.

Let's hope none of your brains ever shut down. Then you're like dead.

Your brain solves problems while your asleep. It does things it cannot do while awake. I think that is fascinating, mind boggling and wonderful.  :star:

I solve the thinking at night thing by listening to audio tapes that are telling stories. Puts me right out. Just a thought. Get it?

I haven't had trouble sleeping lately, but I know what you mean. Typically the warm weather makes me sleepy,so I get tired quicker.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

sometimes it doesn't. usually when my brain doesn't shut off, that's when i can't sleep. it's because there's so much things happening in my mind that my brain is focused on trying to figure out what to do. lol! i need to figure out how to relax my mind so my brain can rest. lol!

My boyfriend and my kids can attest to this. I can shut my brain off and fall asleep within a minute of hitting the pillow. I am not sure how I just stop thinking and then I fall asleep. Though it wasn't always that easy..guess it comes with age. :-)

Ha ha ha...if only it were that easy right?
Usually my brain goes on for a bit until I finally get too exhausted to think anymore
