Do you listen to music while at work?

It depends on what I am doing. I work in a law office and I can't concentrate that well if I have music on when I need to proof something. If I'm doing something mindless then yes, I do listen to music. I only use a single ear bud so I can still hear what is happening.

I work from home so can have my music on all day without bothering anyone.  I don't know what I would do without music

I own a video rental store. There are many days I have selected a movie to have playing in the background because it was full of good music.

I listen to music when I write my progress notes or do other work because it helps me concentrate.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my sister a few days ago. We were discussing popular music these days and how it can really lift ones spirits. I asked her if she wore ear phones at work, and when she said yes, I asked why she didn't listen to music while she worked. She laughed and said, "I can't stop myself humming and jigging in my seat and as invariably I sing the wrong words, it's embarrassing all round". I would love to be a fly on the wall in her office.

I am retired now, but when I did work I had a radio in my office and listened to music every day.

I don't get to listen to much music because I work as a Security Dispatcher, and I have to be able to hear the radios. Sometimes though, on slow days, my supervisor will turn the radio on a low volume.

Yes, we listen to music all day, but occasionally I need to put my headphones in and listen to my own b/c the music just repeats over and over.... gets old.
