Mother Teresa
« on: March 15, 2016, 06:49:00 am »
The BBC reported, "Mother Teresa, the Roman Catholic nun who worked with the poor in the Indian city of Kolkata (Calcutta) is to be declared a saint on 4 September, Pope Francis has announced."

Mother Teresa is an inspiration to me. I have a message that pops up on my phone every morning that helps guide me through the day. The message is:

"Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love." Mother Teresa

The dance studio where my daughter dances has a quote from Mother Theresa stenciled on the front lobby wall: "Reach high, for the stars lie hidden in your soul; Dream deep, for each dream precedes the goal."

Mother Teresa taught my dad in India so I'm very happy to see this.

Thanks for sharing that quote bout a smile from Mother Teresa.  I had a friend in high school.  She was such a good person.  Her name was Theresa.  And we all called her Mom.  I'm happy to hear Mother Teresa is being recognized as a saint.  By definition a saint is a person acknowledged as holy or virtuous and typically regarded as being in heaven after death.  As a child of God I believe she is in heaven now.

Mother Teresa was no saint.  She let people suffer instead of giving them medical care that was available.
She did a good job of collecting funds for the catholic church, but caring for the poor-not so much.

I am in no position to judge if Mother Theresa is in heaven as part of the 144000 ruling with Jesus <even tho i doubt it>

What i have a problem with is how does the pope decide???Its certainly Gods decision!!

But thats typical for a world we live in where Jesus says,My kingdom is NO part of this world!!
