This is so sad and that he died on his birthday-- he will be missed -- thoughts to his family and friends at this time

I only really remember him from singing the theme song to the film Legend of the Lone Ranger, "The Man In The Mask". Guess I'm not too well versed in Country Music. R.I.P Merle.
