We have the right to choose our next leader of this country.   The only way Trump will get to the White House is by voting for him.

The electoral college has elected presidents in the past that differed from the popular vote. I could  see some corruption happening with the election this year

I'm not trying to incur wrath, but D. Trump is no idiot. He won the Republican nomination over many, many others. I am inclined to think that his party should support him, since they promised to support the nominated candidate at the first debate.

Many of his ideas are sound, and anyone speaking in public is bound to make some silly mistakes in their use of words. The questions posed by the media are designed to trip people up, especially if they don't like them.  ???

He is brash and outspoken, but he has made people really think about a lot of subjects that might not have been brought out otherwise. :-X To my mind, he is preferable to any of the Democratic candidates.  :dog:

Please don't bash me for my opinion. I'm sensitive. And I am entitled to an opinion, even if it's diametrically opposed to yours. I'm totally open to listening to other people's points of view.

I don't believe in hating or bashing others for their points of view. That's downright unAmerican.

Trump didn't win the nomination yet. He has to win at the convention.

There have been times when Trump threatened to run as a 3rd party independent because he didn't like the rules and regulations of the debates and still doesn't like the rules of the convention.  He had also threatened not to support the Republican  nominee because he felt he was the only one that should be the nominee.

He doesn't want anyone to make a speech that doesn't endorse him, but there are a LOT of Republican people who refuse to endorse him who will be at the convention or making speeches.

He really, really doesn't know anything about governing and is only preaching what everyone WANTS to hear, not what can be done.  In fact, he has not given any solutions to the problems of this country except some outrageous stuff that will never happen.  He'll have a lot of problems if he becomes president because of how he attacked so many in Congress. It's not good to make enemies of the people who make the laws.

Know what I think? He's there to ensure a HIllary win. He hasn't been a Republican for many years only when it suited him so he could get his "deals"  completed through his donations and/or vote for a certain party.  He admitted that in the beginning. Those Democrats that changed to Republicans because he is running will change back for the Nov. election. He may brag how they changed their registration, but it was on purpose.

This whole election is rigged in Hillary's favor.

I was just wondering if anyone who was Trump bashing has changed their minds after hearing about all the lies that Hillary keeps spouting. Trump has been much more candid than Hillary could ever think of being and he has actually done things during his campaign. She hasn't even held a press conference in almost a year.

I like that he went to Louisiana after the flooding and to Mexico to speak to their president regarding immigration. I believe he really wants what is best for our country. To my mind, he's clumsy with words, but he's not a liar.

If you watch his interviews from years past, you'll hear him say many times how much he loves his country.  I think he's our best shot. Not perfect. But no one is. We just have to agree with him on many salient points, such as immigration and national defense, to believe he's our best hope at present.

I also have a feeling that Hillary's health is not very good at this point. What might that hold for the future? Makes you wonder; doesn't it?

It doesn't matter that he loves his country, it's his words and actions that matter. I still don't like him but I'm glad he calmed down a bit. He is now making some sense. too bad he didn't do that in the beginning. He may have had more support.

As for Hillary, she held a press conference on the plane today and in the middle of it, took a coughing fit and had to stop. That tells me that she's not as healthy as people think. In fact, it was her second coughing fit today and it reminds me of another press conference or a rally she held a couple months ago where she did the same thing. I wonder if it's done on purpose to end the questions.

Since the "hookup" with the AG after the Comey press conference on the emails; since the new email dump(s) with threats of more to come, with all the lies she told about her emails, server, and how many iPhones and Blackberries were lost or the aides smashed with hammers, plus that laptop that was "sent in the mail and never arrived," you have to wonder how anyone could vote for her.

Also, the FBI transcript release of her interview with the FBI and all the "I don't know" and "I can't remember" answers,  I really have to wonder why people still back her. I certainly can't. She less trusting than Trump now but I still worry about Trump.
