Hospital

My girlfriend is in the hospital as I am writing my posts. She does not have insurance and they say she needs an operation. Is there anyone that can tell be what I should do to help her?

You could make financial arrangements with the hospital business office if you'd be willing to pay for it yourself otherwise, I'm sorry but I have no other suggestions.

You could try to set up a gofundme.com page where you tell the woman's story and the financial crisis she is having and see if people across the USA would be willing to donate toward her cause.

Oh no!
What state do you live in?  Some states have programs.  Many hospitals, esp the larger ones have social workers specifically to help people find & help patients get help.  See if the hospital she is at has social workers that are patient advocates at the hospital for this purpose.
There are charity organizations that will help you based on what her health issue is. Like prostate cancer charities will assist if you are diagnosed with prostate cancer... etc...

Best of luck.

Check if she's eligible for SSI

Hospitals are way to cold for me.  You get sick just staying in there from air

Try Medicaid in your state.  My daughter is college student and since she has no income she was able to qualify.

Don't know if the state you are in has a Charity hospital. If it does have her transferred there and her operation will be free. If not the only other suggestion is that if you have facebook set up a go fund me page for her.

As someone else suggested definitely try to make arrangements with the hospital business office.  Sometimes depending upon your income level they may even cancel part of the debt or be able to suggest where you might be able to get help.  Best of luck both on a financial basis and a quick recovery for your girlfriend.

Ask around and see if there are any programs in your state that assist with this.
