Do you get along with your next door neighbors ?

Privacy is our top priority. I am fortunate enough that I only have one neighbor that lives alone. Very rarely see or hear him now, but when we first moved in he'd always come out to talk to us and we had to complain many times over his dogs tearing up our yard and everything. Now he has a small terrier that he keeps inside and so it is quiet now. We're the type of people that want to be able to go out naked if we so desire. We don't..well not often. It's just that I paid for my property and want to utilize it any way I choose without nosey neighbors or offending anyone. Caution: Drones will be shot down on sight. LOL

I feel really bad for you, I can't figure out why he would lie, that would really hurt and get me mad too.  Hopefully when they return things will be ok, lets see how he likes the noise when they return.  Until then I guess you have two choices ignore it or call the police.  Good luck!

Thank you so much Nancy, That's just it -when they return all problems with the parking there will end because he has a part time job and has to get up at 5:00 am and will not put up with the noise. It hurts they think so little of me sleeping that they offer up the spots without asking if it would bother me, hate to say it but maybe i'll have to start staying up later and taking drives at 11:00 to the store and be sure I slam doors really loud when I return. These are  age 70 plus people you'd think they would have better manners ! I  wouldn't do this to even people I dislike.

We have good neighbors and we help each other out with pet sitting, snow removal, etc.  We don't really socialize on a regular basis, but if someone is out working in the yard, we usually stop for a visit.

That's what is so sad its been like your deal for the 5 past years, and this will and has changed the over all good feelings. They borrow all my lawn chairs when having parties, they are people who always are there for the happy hours so I'm thinking that has the power to move mountains or I could be suffering the fact I displayed a Trump Sign In my yard and his wife went crazy on me.

I do when I don't get too close, even too much talk. When they ask me to keep my eye out for their house, car, etc. I will tell them I am too scared but will call 911. I tell them that is what I expect from them just call 911 too, and maybe they won't do the return. We are not buddies, they have parties and I don't get invited. I guess my neighbors are copacetic.

I have a good neighbor.  Him and his family look out for me.  They even take my garbage can to the end of drive way and then bring it back.  They are so thoughtful.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I grew up in a neighborhood where everybody knew everybody and most, if not all, were on very friendly terms with each other.  There were quite a few kids in the neighborhood relatively close in age and several of the adults banded together to have a rotating New Year's Eve party each year -- all living within walking distance should they imbibe to excess.


I now live in a neighborhood where I know none of my neighbors (nor do I care to) other than just to wave hello. Most of the houses in our area are rentals although there are a few that are owner occupied. The house immediately next door to us had a very nice (and quiet) tenant living there for a brief time, but she bought a house of her own and moved out last fall.  I have not yet met the new tenants, but they have two barking dogs (the houses and yards are RIGHT on top of each other) and they park their vehicle right at the very edge of our garage door making it impossible to pull in without doing a wide turn requiring a kick into reverse to avoid hitting the opposite corner of the door opening.


In the past three months, we've gotten 3 or 4 notices in the mail of registered sex offenders living within whatever the required notice proximity is.


It is safe to say that we are trying to save up the money to relocate!

I no longer prefer to talk to neighbors because I can't always be welcome on their premises. When I was very young, I thought it was wrong to interact with strangers, even if anyone I knew that knew those strangers had been by my side.

We rent to ours. There has been a few problems before but nothing that could not be fixed. Now out last tenants where a nightmare that is all I can say.

I live in a business/ home. I have never had problems with neighbors parking in the lot. if we have a winter storm and they need to park off the street, they ask and as long as we don't have anything going on, we let them park there. if we have something coming up, we kindly ask them to move the vehicle.

Sounds frustrating and annoying. I am pretty sure that other people in the neighborhood also do not like what is going on. Try to talk to the business owner just like someone said or try to talk to other neighbors to see of they could help
