Do you have a prepaid plan? All carriers aren't compatible with the system. You could possibly use someone else's number since it's only a one time verification type of thing.

This sounds like a problem that is going to require opening a ticket. I have a home land line and have been with FC for years. I had no trouble verifying my phone number but a few other members have posted that they have,

Is your number a cell phone or a landline number? Since you did not fully explain why it won’t verify, the last resort is to submit a ticket. Hopefully your problem has already been solved by now?
