snowbirds
« on: December 11, 2017, 06:19:00 am »
I used to be a snowbird from Chicago to Florida.
I remember wearing a winter coat on the plane.
When I reached Florida, it was warm.
There is a saying "dress in layers;wear a short sleeved top under your long sleeved top."

I would love to be in Florida right now! It is super cold where I live in Louisville!

That's a good idea. Then you can take off any layer that makes you uncomfortable as of temperature. I personally would rather be too cold than too hot because I can barely breathe when I'm too hot!

New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment, Most of the time we have mild weather in the winter and hot in the summer, but we always have at least a few days of the 4 seasons.  Parts of us have more  snow then others, bBut in the summer you can head for the mountains and  winter you can go south for the milder weather, would rather live here then any where else.

Today it’s onky in the 20’s. This is our first ‘winter’ day and I forgot how cold it can get.  Hate winter!

Dressing for the right occasion does help. When it's cold sure nice to have the right jacket and gloves, cause you if you can't get any other outer wear, you would be cold. The heats different you should still dress with not to much, cause the heat might get to you!

That's a cool concept.  It would be nice to get out of the cold right now and be in Florida!

I wish I were. A snowbird now. It's single digit wind chill. I think I would like somewhere in the mid Atlantic Virginia or the carolinas  :rainbow: :peace: :snowflake:
