That would be great, hope things work out in your favor; would be a nice wind fall. Good Luck.

I will be filing for the first time in a while but I don't expect to get anything back because I didn't make much in 2017.

Eighty seven dollars seems to be pretty high. I have not gotten a refund since 1981. One individual indicated that someone who made really good money would not be at this site. I would have to disagree with that as I make exceptionally good money by many people's standards. I do this by working two and a half full time jobs and have worked at least this many jobs since I was fifteen. Fusioncash is an excellent venue for filling down time and making a few bucks. I jump on fusion cash between company downloads and during system upgrades. Right now I am donating blood, which takes an hour, and have finished off my point to click, videos and one post. I will do surveys if I find myself in line and anticipate thirty minutes of downtime. Congrats to the person getting a taxation statement for her $854 earned in surveys...I generally do not make more than $500 per side venues.

Why would a person overpay income taxes and let the government have their $8700 for a year?  Fine tune your exemptions and you will have access to your own money all year.  Save it in your own bank account, not the government's.

I feel as thou this month will go by really slowly.

I will be sitting here waiting for my W-2's so that I can go out and get my taxes done.

I did a tax calculator and it says that I will get about $8,700 back

which if that's what I get that pretty awesome. and should be able to put my family in a better spot and hopefully a house/apartment closer to work.

but that was only using an online calculator.

not sure how accurate that is

How in the crap do you get almost $10,000 back? I know you didn't pay that much in. If you did you would not be on a site like this. smh

I get the earned income tax credit plus I have 2 children I claim 0 on my W-2

I wish we could get that much back - then we could get hurricane Irma damage repaired.  We are living under one of those blue roofs  :(

That's a gigantic refund. Earned income credit is only for those who make very very little, I have never qualified, even when I was working for 30K a year with one child.

We  always break even. Hubby does our taxes and we always know  just about what we need to do to keep from paying. I don't care if don't get anything back but don't want to pay a large sum in.  Happened one year, but then after they did an aduit , we ended getting back a little over 3/4 of what we paid in. Which was nice.

wow go you! wish we could get that much back but barely break even because I cant afford insurance and our son is over 21 and cant  claim as a dependent.  that really hurt our refunds
