Going to hate the sun again and wish that clouds would cover over my house when I'm working on my yard.

Yes it is. There is nine million branches to pick up and it is time to get the lawn mower out and start leveling the ground for the up coming mowing season.

I am willing to do some yard work. Since you all know how to put the word out, why don't you get me some small tasks I can. I prefer light stuff. Raking leaves, etc. I don't think it is leaf raking season right now though.

The rain in middle Tennessee is making yard work difficult.  We did have a 3-day drying out period when I ran out and planted a few cold weather vegetable seeds in my garden.  It was the only day we've had in weeks that planting was even possible, and now I have Broccolini, lettuce, radishes, and Swiss Chard coming up nicely.  We also planted some onion slips and collard plants. The blueberry bushes are full of buds and the peach tree is in bloom.  We do expect more freezing weather before it is over, so hope it doesn't hurt the blooms.

Yard work, for me in Colorado, will not start until the end of May because we tend to get snow right up until then. March is one of our biggest months for snow. Wasn't too long ago that we had a huge snow storm on Saint Patrick's day that crippled the areas I live in and we are massively prepared (I would think better prepared than any state but Alaska). We have been cleaning up dog poop (two Golden Retrievers) on a regular basis which I suppose is yard work. We have had some beautiful weekends in the sixties and seventies and have sunshine over three hundred and twenty days a year but it is the calm before the storm. This week we have some pretty strong windstorms. Yard work is a refreshing break from sitting at my computers for sixteen to eighteen hours a  day, seven days a week.

It is too cold here yet for yard work.  I may try some small things next week. If I start to early it kill my plants.

I really enjoy working in the yard more so than housework.  I'm looking forward to starting my patio garden.  My hubby cut the grass this weekend because I was tending to mom.  I like a nice looking yard.

Definitely one of the perks of living in an apartment--no yard work. I wholeheartedly agree. Though it's nice some people enjoy it, I sure never have.

My yard and garden are covered with snow.  Looks like I have to  wait a few weeks or a month to work on the yard.

It is still snowing here so but it is possible the backyard will be totally free of snow within a couple days. I can't wait to get out and clean the yard up of fallen branches, leftover leaves, etc. especially if it is sunny and warm out.

I actually look forward to spring yard work! I have to dig up and till a couple of garden beds this year and I like the exercise. Being sore makes you feel like you've done something.

We just had more than a foot of snow yesterday so I can't even see the yard right now.  Maybe in a month or so.
