I hear this kind of thing a lot and in a way it makes me laugh and in a way it upsets me.  There is one simple way that you can make money online, or offline for that matter, and you are in control of how much you make.  I'm not talking a little extra money.  I'm talking about full time income and as much as you can really imagine.  NETWORK MARKETING!!

Well since I do not know what NETWORK MARKETING is or how to do it that is basically useless information.  If it is anything like the affiliate link thing then I would say it is bogus.  I had talked to someone who was trying to tell me that all he does is posts affiliate links on websites for 20 minutes a day about 3 days a week and he makes THOUSANDS of dollars a week.  I called him a liar to his face.  I explained that I had set up more than one website and that no random person can come along and post their links on MY site.  So saying I just go around on the internet posting my links on people's website is a lie.  For some reason he no longer wanted to talk to me. lol

Honestly you kind of explained where me thoughts came from.  What I am talking about is nothing like what you mentioned.  Network marketing, or Multi Level Marketing.  If you seriously haven't heard about this, you should really take some time and at least look into what it's all about.  The industry has created more millionaires than any other industry in the world.

The point was I have no idea what network marketing is or multi level marketing.  Do not even know how to go about starting in finding out.  The point was people say the affiliate links will make you thousands of dollars a week and all you do it post links on other people's websites for 20 minutes a day a few days a week. Which is complete BS. But anyway. I can't see if being something I can just do tomorrow and make millions of dollars.  I will google network marketing and see what turns up.

I hear ya.  If anyone every tells you you can do something in a day and make millions...run.  If they say, easy money, run.

Briefly, instead of a company spending millions to advertise and market their product or service, they allow individuals to become representatives who can earn money by bringing in customers and other representatives.  So you do something and get paid for it month after month.  Take enough action and you can build it into a good size check.  And you get paid for the efforts of others and not just yourself.

Okay, I understand that.  It is kind of like the affiliate marketing.  You have a link that you promote and when people use your link to purchase something you get a percentage of that sale.

You have to have a way to promote it though.  I have my own website but I do not get near the traffic I would need to make money from an affiliate link.  Although I maybe should check in to that and put a couple of my site and see if I can get any clicks.  I do get hits on the site (or so the analytics thing on the host says I am getting hits lol) but not that many.  I am not sure how to promote the site.  I have promoted it on twitter and pinterest and even facebook a little.  I am not sure how to get a site to give me an affiliate link either. lol.  From what I have seen it can be a few pennies pay per 100 or 1000 clicks so that is going to take me til 100 years past the time I die to make anything worth bragging about.  And fyi I brag about the little amount I make on here. lol

I worked my butt off for a Multi Level Marketing company in the 80's  for 6 years and when my dad died and while I was taking time for family business, the owner of the companies latest super stars under mined my whole down line. I was the very first person to have Arbonne Skin Care in the Mid-west  I was made a area Manager in Las Vegas at a convention and was weeks away from getting a company car!  I got screwed royal... GET every thing in writing for if you get sick or some one dies and you need time off .   My 6 years counted for NOTHING and i ended up with nothing because i needed 8 weeks to tend to a death.

I am not sure I am understanding.  Were YOU sick and needed off or you needed off 8 weeks because of your father's death?  That is a long time.  I don't know of any company that will let you off that long because of the death of a family member.  Maybe if you work for a company that has that FMLA.  I have never had that so I am not familiar with what all it covers.

It is hard to get things in writing as well.  I am currently looking for another job.  I had thought about that.  But what do you do when they say you will get paid this amount ... say oh excuse me but can I get that in writing? But I seriously had thought about that.  How would you word it?  Just so we are on the same page can I get a job offer in writing stating the hours and rate of pay?  Not trying to be smart but in the past there have been misunderstandings and I just want to make sure we are clear on what I am being offered?  That doesn't sound too bad does it? lol

I would still love to work for myself.

It was like selling Avon or Mary Kay  I don't think they can force people to have set hours... I wasn't getting a pay check i was getting a % of my sales . And a cut off my recruits sales.   I'd have understood if they were sending me a paycheck ! But the people they set to help me (so they said )  Had no mind to help any one but themselves !

Ohhhh I understand.  I heard about a lady here locally that was selling Mary Kay and she got a car because her sales were so high.  No, that doesn't have set hours at all.  I was thinking like a regular brick and mortar business where they need someone to actually be there.  I live in a smaller town and there are already people who sell Avon and Stanley and stuff like that and they are established and people call them when they want something.  But even that I don't see making enough money to support myself.

After a day like today I want or even NEED even more to be able to stay at home.

I wish there were more work from home jobs, it seems like it would be nice to work in the comfort of your own home.

To me, those online jobs are legit, they have you pay them to send you a list of jobs to work online, and its not a guarantee that you will get a job from that particular company.

One of my classmates has her resume posted on multiple websites and one site contacted her bout a job working from home, i believe it is customer service. She loved it at first, but she misses the contact with other people. But yes there are legit companies online.

Yes, their are 'at home' jobs out there that all you need is a computer.  Some start out in a workplace then telemarketer from home.  If you mean straight off the internet work, there are those too but you have to weed through hundreds of scams in order to find the ones that are legit.

I would love to work from home for extra money too but have also found a bunch of things online that all turn out to be scams.  Good luck finding anything...if you do please share with us!

I would NOT miss the contact with other people.  EVER!  I am not comfortable posting my resume online. Too many scamsters that can get a grip on my info and there is usually enough info on a resume along with what you can get from a google search to ruin somebody.

I would live in a card board box and starve before I would be a telemarketer. There are even threads on here about how bad we all hate telemarketers.  I am still saying they do not exist.  People say oh they are out there you just have to find them.  We so are winning lottery tickets but the chances of ME getting a million dollars from a lottery ticket are like below zero.

I don't want "extra money".  I have that now.  I want a JOB WHERE I WORK FROM HOME.  A real job that allows me to work from my home and not have to get out and go to work some where for somebody else and be surrounded by idiots all day.

I don't think our world is in a place where we can make a living while working online at home. Our technology isn't advanced enough yet for that.

One of my dreams is to find a job that I can do from home. They are out there but they are not easy to find. The only ones I see a lot of are online teaching jobs. I am going to try to find a home based job this summer.

Love it if it's legit but you'd be lucky to not fall into a scam!
