Yeah, I think that is why a lot of people do social media. I did that a little bit myself when I first joined Facebook but I learned that the attention you get is usually the wrong one you want.

I have family literally all over the country and some even in other countries.  It is also a good way to communicate with people thru messenger that you may not want to give your phone number to.

Some people do go overboard on facebook. I think its ridiculous they way they constantly post all day long. I use to get on facebook for hours a day. However I got tired of all the ridiculous post I see. Now I get on facebook two to three times per week.

I check and stroll thru every day or two.  Do not post much at all.  I am so sick of the political drama.  Half the news stories shared are as fake as a $3 bill.  People are so stupid.  And will believe anything.

I immediately thought of several people I have known that no matter what you say or experience they always had something more, something better, something more heart wrenching, something more expensive, and on and on.  These people became so tiresome I just had to distant myself.  I now hardly see or interact with these people whatsoever.

Putting yourself into a situation just to get attention isn't a positive thing, just know that all attention getters are not bad.

I have a couple of friends who are like that and its pretty annoying on my side.

Yes I agree there are SEVERAL of those people out there. I just let them go on about themselves and just leave. lol

I was referring to people either that you work with or family you have to be around.  Some on FB too.  I have family on FB that does that a lot.  I have unfollowed several lately.  I didn't unfriend just to keep some peace.

I don't like a lot of attention myself. I used to have Facebook but I don't use it anymore.

I have a sister in law that does this.  She always apologizes to everybody every time anything goes wrong.  Like she's the center of the universe.
