I have an Etsy store. It's pretty new right now, I haven't made many sales, but looking forward to get it going better.

Hopefully you can.  I have a website and blog.  I don't do much on the blog.  The website gets a few hits here and there and I can make a little money from that.  I am understanding more recently how people are making money with blogs.  I finally figured out what nobody was saying.  They say they can tell you how to make money and they are making millions of dollars, yeah right, and they will tell you step by step but they do not actually ever tell you anything.  They are basically doing the same things I am.  They just have more hits.

I know a guy, through his website, who started with a small newsletter.  He kept growing with followers.  And as that happened he was able to grow his site.  When I stopped following him he had thousands and thousands of followers who would click on anything he recommended and buy or sign up through his links.  This made him money.  Then by allowing ads to be placed on his site (affiliate marketing) he made more money.  He was able to quit his full time job and just run his site.  And I am sure he makes good money off it.

I have never tried the etsy though.

i know i had always heard anything over 600 got turned in..and i know i definitely do not get anywhere near that..i wish i did

I talked to customer service from Paypal today and they said if you make over 20,000 a year they will send you a 1099 for tax purposes. Anything kind of money that comes through Paypal from surveys of friends sending you cash.
As far as this site and others, over $600 a year means you will have to receive a 1099 form.

Basically what has already been said 100 times.  PayPal sends the 1099 at a dollar amount which I thought was $10,000 or that is what somebody said - maybe it was $20,000 OR over 200 transactions.  You can't get a straight answer.

The 1099 is going to come from who pays you.  Ie - this site or what ever site you are working with. PayPal is a bank.  My bank does not send me a 1099 based on how much money I deposit throughout the year.  A lot of people use PP to receive payments where they sell stuff online.  When I talked to them they said they do not SEND out a 1099 but make the info available to you via your account for tax purposes.

If you want straight up tax info you need to talk to a tax advisor or go to the IRS website and get your info there.  OR call them and ask them.  Because everybody has "heard" something different.  But when it comes down to it - it does not matter what you have "heard".  It is going to come down to what the law is.  I would rather do it right to start with as to end up paying a bunch of penalties.

I talked to a woman the other day who said somebody told her if you make less than $10,000 a year you don't have to turn it in.  (rolling eyes here)   Not sure where that is coming from but I have heard several say that.  And that is flat out incorrect.

I'd look at a site called rat race rebellion. Think they have some real jobs at home. Looked at a few interesting .

I get emails from RatRebellion each day and they contain jobs that are work from home opportunities, phone, customer service, chat etc.. Some say they supply you with a laptop or tablet, nice for this at home time we are experiencing.

i would love to work at home..just need a little extra money to fill in some voids..but online jobs aren't easy to come by...most want too much information that i am not willing to give..like access to my emails and phone..not happening..i will continue looking for something..maybe one will show up one day..would even be happy to find more ptc sites that pay through paypal..but they are hard to find now

See I got a job that IS a real job and paid $14 an hour. But they wanted access to the contents of my emails, which would not have been a huge deal because I made an email just for them. But also wanted to put trackers on my computer and you had to use your cell phone as well and I had to allow them access to the contents of my text messages.  I mean what kind of stupid do they think I am?

The PTC stuff is getting harder to earn.  And I think it is because there are tons more people buying in to the hype you can earn a full time income doing this.  You know since most of the sites that recommend these type sites say you can expect to make $14 to $20 something an hour.  A lot of people are just trying to make a little extra so if they can make $25 a month they will take it.  But it makes the competition for the surveys available a whole lot more.

I have to be a caregiver for a family member,so i can't get a real job.

To be honest there is no such thing as easy money. Many people think when you work online it will be easy money not like a real job. That is not so. To make a decent money that you can enjoy some work will be evolved. Even getting passive income from your blog initially you have to put some work in before hand. The promise of fast easy money is why people get scammed. To avoid this except some work is needed!
