I have a really old first generation iPad 4 which still works just great but I hardly ever use it for anything. I just keep it charged to keep it going but I really don't have much use for it.

Have always used IPAD, but will look into other brands mentioned below if it's similar functionally and is a lot cheaper

I bought a GrandPad for my Mom.  It is a simple tablet for seniors.  No need for internet or wifii.  It has big buttons on it such as CALL, PHOTOS.  She is nearly 90 years ol-19.d and has never owned a cell phone or computer.  This GrandPad is AWESOME!  We can do video calls, which has been extremely helpful due to the stay in place mandates for COVID

I need a tablet capable of doing basically what a computer will. I do think it could be neat though.  If I held elderly people in my family I might look in to that.  I never thought about it but it would be awesome for people locked in nursing homes like criminals and family locked out.  If I had family in there now I guess I would get in trouble because I would probably go in welcome or not and break my family out.

Anyway, I have a tablet now.  I am just looking at maybe getting a new one.
