Just curious....what are people concerned about with the vaccine? There's no way to get the virus from the vaccine - the only negatives are the side effects...

Why are you concerned with people who are not going to take it? If you take it you are safe. LOL I don't take the flu shot either.  Have you actually read the side effects?  Have you seen on the news where the side effects for a couple have been severe paralysis and the person is now laying in a bed and cannot even move their body?  And the side effects are basically the same as having cov and the vaccine DOES contain cov.  I don't think they will have any problems getting enough people to take it to achieve their "herd immunity" lol.  Depends on which pole you listen to.

Heck yeah, I'd get it for $1500! I need to pay off some debt. Unless... Biden is really going to forgive my student loans. Then I'll pass on the vax.

Not a good idea, however if next year the only way we can go on vacation in Canada, then I will consider it. I already have plane tickets and have put our trip off for a year already.

Why should he forgive student loans?  Are the rest of us who paid for our college going to get reimbursed?  What about my credit card debt?  Are they going to just forgive that?  Anybody that will go get it for $1500 will go get it anyway.

It is not about taking a stand.  I have never had a flu shot and never had the flu.  Last year most of the people I know who got the flu shot got the flu as well.  I don't care who goes and gets it.  I won't be one of them.

Biden said something about issuing an executive order to cancel $50k in student loans. I'm not holding my breath, but it sure would be nice. I have $50k in loans from a college that is now permanently closed due to misuse of funds. A different local college took over the program that I was in, and it's less than half the cost now. So yeah, I feel a bit cheated.

I know what he said. My point is why should people who have student loan debt and are not paying it back just have it forgiven?  Are you also going to reimburse everyone else who paid their loans?  Or who paid for it without loans?  What about my credit card debt? Are they just going to forgive that?  Or my mortgage payment? I want that forgiven. That's a good point; come to think of it, if it's required to travel I think a lot more people will be willing to take it.  I just hope that it doesn't become a requirement, at least until after thorough testing.

Not a good idea, however if next year the only way we can go on vacation in Canada, then I will consider it. I already have plane tickets and have put our trip off for a year already.

I see your point.  One of my concerns, however, is that much like the flu shot some counterproductive side effects would come with the vaccine.  But, I do see your point.

Although Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy, hotels and casino businesses of his have declared bankruptcy six times between 1991 and 2009 due to its inability to meet required payments and to re-negotiate debt with banks, owners of stock and bonds and various small businesses (unsecured creditors).

Student loan debt has surpassed all other debts, including mortgages and credit cards. It's an issue, because the cost of college is rising exponentially while salaries are stagnant. How do you pay your student loan payment when your paycheck doesn't cover it? I couldn't work as a vet tech for years, because I didn't make enough money to pay my loan payment.

It is not my problem. The fact is it is YOUR debt. As well as the others who acquired the debt. People go to college and rack up tons of debt and get a good job because of that degree then just don't pay the loans back. This is not fair to the people who paid off their college loans.  Not the banks fault you don't make enough to repay the loan. No different than me going and buying a $200,000 house and a $60,000 car and then saying oh you should just forgive the debt because I don't make enough money to repay it.

Student loans don't work the same way. When you buy a car or a house, there's a truth in lending statement when you sign the paperwork. They tell you exactly what your payments will be and the total you will pay including interest. When you apply for student loans, they don't tell you any of that. You don't know what your payments will be until six months after you graduate and you get the first bill. Had I known my student loan payment was going to be a minimum of $800 a month on just interest, I wouldn't have applied in the first place.

IG.....why didnt u ask in the first place what payments/interest would have been?

Totally unfair on their part cos they know U need the $$$ and most likely will agree and then sock you later with that bill.

And if U knew at first you would not have been able to go to college cos U said you wouldnt have agreed?

Listen we all have made mistakes.I know i did in the past and this system is set up to screw you.Make money on your money in cases.

Just like healthcare system in this country is a joke too.

But if you get "the jab" and you don't get paid you will do it? lol  I am sure you can decline the payment.  The theory behind the $1500 was that it would encourage more people to participate.  There are more negative effects that were released today. Something about people who got the vax are not testing positive for HIV. I remember hearing something about HIV being used in the vaccine. Funny that was said, and it was denied, and now people who have had the trial vaccine are testing positive for HIV but they say it is a false positive. I am wondering if they just gave a bunch of people HIV.

Im leaning towards NOT getting the vaccine even if they gave me $1500.Of course i will see what Gods instructions are all.

I dont even like getting novacaine from a dentist.

I wont elaborate too much.....my spouse was positive for Covid on 3/20 this yr.Had a 3rd back surgery 2/13.Surgeon called on 3/17 to say he tested positive and spouse found out a few days later.

I wanted also to get tested but back then if you had no symptoms they wouldnt test you.I have known how i have felt,no fevers etc.I take my pro=biotics and all else.I wear a mask when needed and social distance when i have to and avoid crowds.

I think i have been fortunate.Im pretty sure Gods instruction might be personal here.I will wait. But my gut is to continue what i already am doing.I did get a Tetnus shot awhile ago after i got cut but never take any vaccines.

Im not against this vaccine but will admit i am afraid RE a reaction.Like i said i dont even like novacaine.

I don't think they are going to give $1500 to take it. There was a guy on a show that said that would guarantee more people would take it. He was the one that came up with that number. I can't remember who it was because it was just a suggestion, he was asked where he came up with that number and he explained why. But there was no official that said that. I think people are just going with what he said.

I just read something about a proposal to pay people $1500 to get the coronavirus vaccine...would you do it?

This would making it easier for scammers who are working diligently with regards to the vaccine.  $1500 is a lot of money, but is it worth your life?

Not enough money could make me take the vaccine! It doesn’t matter what I do every time I take the flu shot I get sick afterwards! Haven’t taken the flu shot & haven’t gotten the flu since( knock on wood) I got the shingles at age 49 didn’t even know it was the shingles but my doctor told me after recovering from it on my own, I’ve got the antibodies naturally & my body will recognize it should it come back! I know vaccines is the dead version of the virus & is just being introduced into the body but after hearing/learning about ppl dropping dead hours/days after taking the Covid vaccine........ money can’t buy my life!

You only get the "thank you" if you take the shot. And if it is paid as a bonus on their check they will pay taxes on the $500.
