Summer isn't over in Tampa Bay! Even if the local and out-of-state kiddos are in school, theme parks and other businesses are thriving!

I don't think that's viable. I agree with those who think it's not going to happen. I wish there are more no-credit-card needed, daily opportunities to earn, but rules are rules. Sorry.

If you are celebrating Halloween this year, you probably know that the recession is at hand. Buying costumes is expensive nowadays, and making your own is generally cheaper. Thus, here's the question: are you buying a costume or making one?

I drink Pepsi (diet), but now it's on occasion as I drink mostly water. The aspartame pretty much fattens me up...

I'm missing the fall. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and the season there was WAY better than here in Florida. There were trick-or-treating treks everywhere, colorful leaves on the trees, and cooler weather.

But a fall in Florida - I can pretty much deal with that. We got our own Halloween events as well as Walt Disney World's Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, located an hour from my home! That compensated for my homesickness a bit...

I was in middle school when it happened, I believe I was in 8th grade at the time. We were all watching it on the news that morning. Its too bad we are united only when a natural disaster or something like 9/11 hit us. Then, we just return to our daily life and ignore each other. We should always be united since day one and help each other.

I was in middle school too, but in 6th grade. We were reading a short story when the PA broke the news. As a person born and raised in the eastern side of North Jersey, it was a pretty surreal and sad feeling.

just wondering,....it is hot in here ...in Florida always in the 90's...

I remember going to Florida (back in '97) the weather was SO humid but it was so beautiful there. I do love summer because love the warmth of the sun.

I don't like extremely hot weather though. I live in IL. Chicago specifically it doesn't get that hot here.

Ya you are right, but we live in the central Florida where it is always sunny and very humid...

I live in Florida too (Tampa Bay), but summer is not my fav season. I love the fall and I'm missing the season there in New Jersey, where I was born and raised.
