Christmas is approaching really fast
and the money is shrinking even faster
They love to go shopping and we can't.
They just ask when with it be
When are financial wooes be better.
So we can go back to the malls and shop.

Well I would like for my finances to get better, mind you the lottery would be great, but a will be satisfy with some $$ to be able to go out ot a restaurant or the movies once a month, we having been able to do that for months now.  I want enough to buy my daughters some clothes and shoes, they have been using the same stuff for 2 years now.  But FC is helping with that hopefully.

We do the traditional + spanish flare.  Turkey, ham, mash potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans, jam etc.  Also add the rice and plantains to the mix and must of the times add another type of meat for it.  The way we do it is, the hosting family will cook more dishes, but every family will bring a dish or 2 (pot luck style), with the difference that we pre-plan the menu, so nobody has to spend all day or 2 in the kitchen, we end up having so much fun and since everybody cook something, nobody is tired.

I had not done it until last year, when my $$ situation started getting bad, I had certainamount of money to spend on my girls and black friday was my solution.  I tell you a love it, mom and me went at about 6:30 a.m. to the mall, cam out of there at 2:00 pm and spend all my money, but tons of stuff and even had extra $$ to by a new bed comforter for my daughter along with bathroom rugs and towels that were not on my list.

Sadly this year my $$ is even worse so I don't think I can use Black Friday for anything.

I have 2:  my oldest is 17 and a senior, we are getting ready to figure out which college she wants, she wants to stay local, if she goes to GMU she will be able to live with us since it is about 15 minutes away from our home.  But if it is for her sister then she will move as far away as she can so the sister can have her room which is the biggest of the 2.

My other daughter is 12 years old, going on 30 and giving gray hair and trying to kick her sister out the farthest college possible so she can have the room.  She is in MS but our school has 7 thru 12 on the same building and she knows 3/4 of the school population already.  The 2 girls look some much alike, almost like twins even with the 5 years difference, and the same heigh, they have learn to say NO we are not twins, it is hillarious

I got freaked out after the original Elm Street, Freddy did to me what nobody else had done, and I mean I watch all Friday 13th movies, Halloween and even exorcist (the 1st one) by age 12 and was cool with it.  Then along came Freddy and scared me for life, I wathc it with my daddy at 2:00 pm and need it to sleep in brothers room for 2 weeks, on top of the bunk bed with the oldest brother. 

After Freddy I have not been able to watch anything the least scary it freaks me out.

For me is Thanksgiving dinner itself.  Although I am of hispanic ethnic and we add our own dishes to the meal, for example besides the mash potatoes we need to have some rice, that is a most for us, we also have plantains always.  And the way we make it is:  we decide WHO is having dinner at their house this year, and then we divide the cooking into everybody who is coming, every family brings a dish.  The hosting family will have the most cooking but everybody contributes to the dinner table.  I make a mean turkey myself and always falls on my family to bring it.
