I went to my sisters house and saw her packing a suitcase. I asked, "What's going on?" She said, "I'm feeling homesick." I said, "But you're at your home now." She replied, "I know. I'm sick of it!"

An exercise for people who are out of shape: Begin with a five-pound potato bag in each hand. Extend your arms straight out from your sides, hold them there for a full minute, and then relax. After a few weeks, move up to ten-pound potato bags. Then try 50-pound potato bags, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-pound potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

The shovel was a ground-breaking invention.

Don’t trust stairs, they’re always up to something.

Whoever stole my antidepressants I hope you are happy now.

I like waiters, they bring a lot to the table.

My mate says I'm getting fat, but in my defense I've had a lot on my plate recently.

Some mornings I wake up grumpy, on others I let her sleep in.

I'm going to stand outside, so if anyone asks tell them I'm outstanding.

Off-Topic / Soups and Stews

It has been cold here for California, I know vacation temps for other parts of the country.  So I have been making stews and soups for the last couple of weeks.   Beef Stew is one of my favorites.  But I have made Brocolli Cheese Soup, Potato Soup, Chicken Tortillia Soup, Squash soup, Navy Beans with ham and Corn Bread.    It smells good all day, since I work a lot from home that is a plus and after you throw everything in there is very little work.  I think I may do some tomato soup with grilled cheese or ham and cheese sandwiches for tonight.

What are your favorite soups?

May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings, slow to make enemies, quick to make friends. But rich or poor, quick or slow, may you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.

May your blessings outnumber
the shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
wherever you go.

An elderly couple are in church. The wife leans over and whispers to her husband, "I just let out a long, silent fart. What should I do?" The husband replies, "First off, replace the batteries in your hearing aid!"

Off-Topic / A Couple of Chuckles For Today
« on: August 20, 2019, 11:39:33 am »Message ID: 1289254
There was an elderly couple who in their old age noticed that they were getting a lot more forgetful, so they decided to go to the doctor. The doctor told them that they should start writing things down so they don't forget. They went home and the old lady told her husband to get her a bowl of ice cream. "You might want to write it down," she said. The husband said, "No, I can remember that you want a bowl of ice cream." She then told her husband she wanted a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream. "Write it down," she told him, and again he said, "No, no, I can remember: you want a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream." Then the old lady said she wants a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. "Write it down," she told her husband and again he said, "No, I got it. You want a bowl of ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top." So he goes to get the ice cream and spends an unusually long time in the kitchen, over 30 minutes. He comes out to his wife and hands her a plate of eggs and bacon. The old wife stares at the plate for a moment, then looks at her husband and asks, "Where's the toast?"

Q: Where do you learn how to make ice cream?
A: Sundae School

Off-Topic / Marie Callendars

I heard on the news that most of the Marie Callendar restaurants are closing as they have sold out.  They are going to continue with the frozen food lines, just not the restaurants.  I enjoy their salad and soup bar, and of course their pies.  At least the pies will still be available.  We do enjoy the different chicken pot pies frozen foods, so that will still be available too.

I felt so sad today hearing that he had passed.  I knew i was probably going to be soon since he had quit doing the cancer treatments.  He was truly a hero and a man who tried to do his best to do good.
