I was in foster care as a child and it is difficult to deal with having two sets of families. I say listen to her adoptive mother and your will come around. it might not happen as fast as you want it to but be patient, she'll come around. shower with love and understanding.

I would put half in the bank, help my family with their some of their bills after I pay mine off, and go on about three cruises.
