I'm guessing it's a fake account/bot which pop up a lot on IG and FB as well. Or they could be a new account. If there really is a person behind the account, you can just prevent them from following you if you're uncomfortable.

Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

It is not a fake account.  Nor is it a bot.  Why does everyone think that?  When my account was new I had zero followers and I followed one. I only joined to be part of a "twitter party" because I had the chance to win prizes through a site I was a member of.

I get that it was a new account.  People seem to be jumping to conclusions or reading things that aren't there. I am not worried about it.  I am not afraid of him.  He lives on the other side of the world and doesn't have a clue who I am or where I am.  I follow accounts all over the United States. I just was curious what others would do.  I blocked him immediately.  When people follow me I usually look at their bio.  If it is totally opposite of everything I stand for I block them.  And a lot of times when it is just from another country.  Most likely he was going to ask me for money.  I had that happen a couple of times.  The follow you and tweet back and forth a couple times then if they can get to your DM they ask for a donation for something.  Not going to happen.

I don't do Twitter so I wouldn't know what to do.

There are people on Facebook who wants to friend you.  I usually take a look at their page and I go from there.  Usually I say no.

If I did not know them there is no way I would accept a friend request.  My great aunt accepts every request that comes her way. She has over 1000 friends and knows less than 1/10th of them.  She has been hacked and had people set up accounts in her name as well.
