Hey everyone, I've been converting quite a few videos lately to listen to lectures and podcasts on the go. I always come across options for different bitrates, like 128kbps, 192kbps, and sometimes even higher. I'm curious what quality settings people usually opt for when they're converting video to audio. Is there a sweet spot that balances file size with decent sound quality? I don't want massive files taking up all my phone storage, but I also don't want the audio to sound terrible. What are your preferences?

That's a really good question! I've experimented with this a bit myself. For spoken content, like the lectures or podcasts you mentioned, I honestly find that 128kbps is perfectly adequate. Anything higher for just voice doesn't really improve the clarity enough to justify the larger file size. However, if I'm converting music, I definitely aim for something like 192kbps or even 256kbps if available. For music, that extra bitrate makes a noticeable difference in richness and detail. I typically use youtubetomp3 for my conversions, and it offers different quality settings, making it easy to choose what I need for each specific audio file.
