Actually the state of NY offered them another location on state owned land and they rejected the offer because they want it in that spot.  This sparks the question why? why must it be in that very spot?  After what happened on 9/11 I think building this "Cultural Center" in this location is very insensitive to those that lost loved ones its not "just a building".  In my opinion this has never been about religion or rights its about control and one group using our constitution to get what they want despite if its morally right or wrong.  I find it interesting that there are Muslims that are against the building of the "Cultural Center" but non-Muslim's that are for it are crying hate and prejudice when people feel it should not be built.  Are the Muslims that are against it being built prejudice as well? Or just anyone that's not of the Muslim faith?  My point is hate is a vicious cycle and sadly there will probably always be hate and prejudice in our world.  But allowing construction of said building in that general area will only fuel the fire of hatred and pour salt in the healing wounds of those that lost loved ones on that horrible day.

I am surprised that anyone would buy into this right wing propaganda. I watched the video and heard names I am familiar with, especially that of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister. He makes NO effort whatsoever, and never has, to hide his absolute and unrelenting hatred of the Jewish State of Israel and the Jewish people. While Obama DID meet with him in January of 2009, there is absolutely no confirmation that the words supposedly heard on Nile TV were in fact said. I have stated before I am NOT a supporter of Obama, but when things like this video start riling up the masses again someone has to speak up about it.

PP Simmons, the video 'host' has tons of videos out there and no one knows who it actually is, but their agenda is quite clear. The only purpose behind their videos is to further political conspiracy theory on just about every person and subject imagineable. They also make blatant use of mixing sound bites, photoshopping things, and basically preying on the feelings of strongly aligned christian groups.

Does it not occur to anyone that there is a reason these stories do NOT appear anywhere else ie in major news groups publications and TV broadcasts? There are many purveyors of the news that detest Obama and would do anything they could to show some really great 'dirt' on him. Yet, they do not pick up these types of stories and put them out for all to see? Seems pretty strange to me.

Most of the media is so behind Obama, they refuse to show anything wrong with him, that's why.  That's what is also strange.  If it was Bush, or anyone else like Bush, they would be digging up the dirt and putting it out there.  I'm just seeing the overall picture of what's unfolding for the future of the U.S., and it's a shame that many people can't see that. This is truly a serious situation.

You obviously again failed to read what I was saying or you just don't care that others have different opinions than yourself.  I clearly stated I think its insensitive as do many others religious and the non religious even Muslims. Do the people that feel this way believe the innocent people that lost their lives went to heaven? That would depend on what each individual believes in.  Have you ever even read the constitution before you go spouting off what it entails?  I know I have and never have I seen the words the right to have "buildings built"  Its just a building remember? those were your own words if its just a building then it should have been OK to respect those that died and moved the location elsewhere when they were offered the option.  When are you going to realize its not just a building and there is a reason it must be built there?  Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like it wont bother me in the least.  I don't necessarily believe this but I prefer to not be naive when it comes to anyone's motives.  In other words I question the motives for needing this Cultural center in that exact spot.  It also puzzles me why any minority would want so badly to stir the pot of hatred rather than just try to get along with the majority and live peacefully.

I gathered as much when she said she cheered on 9/11 which irritates me just to retype it.  Its obvious discussion with her was going nowhere and until she can contribute to an intelligent discussion or even accept that others have different views on subjects I don't plan to discuss it any further.  We are all entitled to our opinions and I have no hard feelings that she obviously either disagrees or doesn't want to see the whole picture as others may see it.  The same goes for anyone else that may disagree on any given subject, everyone has different morals and beliefs the trick to debating is to be able to accept that and move on.

I agree- It's not even frustrating that she disagrees. It is however frustrating that she disagrees half the time then will quickly change and claim to support the other time...not only does she not read what others say before she responds but I don't even think she thinks her response through.
