Most all of us, no matter what our age or preferred genre, know who Layne Thomas Staley was.
This thread is in honor of his birth on August 22, 1967, in the town of Kirkland, WA.

Truly one of the great voices in all of rock.  RIP Layne, you're sorely missed.

I'm going to see AIC next month.  I've got no problem with the new guy, but man, I would've loved to have seen them with Layne.
