Sure, their are tons of people who can SOUND intelligent. But are they really?

Yes...there are several on these forums.  In fact, you can believe in g-d and be intelligent.  Intelligence and faith are not opposites. 

I've found the most intelligent sounding people are the ones who think before before they speak/type instead of just letting it pour out.

Sure. You can sound intelligent. I think a major problem with doing so is you always have the obvious fallible corners that come with the religious beliefs though. Justifying it on the balances of reality usually results in not sounding intelligent. Thus people should keep their religious beliefs to themselves unless someone asks about them or if they're close. He sure can if society doesn't recognize his genius.  There have been many brilliant people dubbed "fools" by the simple-minded masses.  Atheists/agnostics are no exception -- getting called "fools" when in reality, they are in a position that can only be understood and appreciated by an elite few.
