Whether, you're Independent, democrat, or republican, vote in November 2010.
Otherwise, I don't want to see you bitching about it in FC blog/threads. I'm independent. I truly feel that I don't have a choice with these candidates. I don't like either parties but I'll go for the lesser evil of the two. So, I'm voting democrat. If it's one thing I can't stand is that the richer get richer, robbing the middle & the poor class. Republican(s) is the DEVIL dressed in an expensive suit. Funded by us & also foreign supporters!

I agree partially with you, everyone should take advantage of the right to vote in November.  Those who choose not to vote do not deserve the right to b*tch about it.

The reason you don't have a choice is that you've been brainwashed into believing the lies and misconceptions from the democratic party! Why don't you just admit to being a democrat because your saying the exact same B.S. thats been coming out of the mouths of Obama, Polosi, Reed and may others!

I don't vote and will never vote. Why should I when all the candidates are basically the same?

I had to laugh the other day because I was watching John Stossel on a show.  He said that instead of trying to "get out the vote" and telling everyone to vote, he advocates that if you are uninformed and don't keep up with what is going on, please stay home and don't vote because you are doing more harm than good.  It really is something to think about.  I mean sure everyone has a right to vote, but there are a lot of people who probably could not tell you a valid reason as to why they voted the way they did.  I thought it was food for thought.

While it may be what they are saying, maybe there right, I'm no obama fan, I dont like what he's doing, but I do tend to lean towards the democratic party. But then again I dont really like any part of the government at this point. Most of our government is old white men. It's ridiculous, not only that pretty much ALL of our government is rich, so no matter what they say, there not thinking about the middle and lower classes, there thinking about how to put more cash in there pocket.

Right!  If your going to vote, you better know the issues and candidates, and what they stand for.  Not just their campaign promises either.  If their up for reelection, they have a history that can be accessed how they themselves actually voted on issues, etc., in the House.  The numbered Props/issues are easy to determine yourself.  There is so much information on the web, news media, etc.  There's no reason for anyone to be uninformed.

Totally agree with what a lot are saying here - if you plan to vote - do your research.

More food for thought - don't take those TV campaign ads too much to heart, even the ones endorsed by the candidate (not just those new special interest "shock" commercials that are floating around out there).  There was one commercial aired in my district which was endorsed by the candidate himself, however the information presented in the commercial was tailored to be misleading and a local news station called him on it for 2 reasons: (1) he used a news clip from one of their news programs without permission of the studio [copywrite violation], and (2) the clip that was played was taken completely out of context and the story that the clip came from had absolutely nothing to do with how the ad was making it seem.

So if you start believing some of those ads - record one, write down all the articles and references the ad states, then go to the library archives or online and look up the source and read the full articles - see if they were being used properly and factually, or if they just took a clip out of context to make it seem the article was implying something it wasn't.

We had a saying in my college labs - you can prove anything if you make up your data.  Same goes for these political ads.

Another thing that I think people miss is writing and calling your senators and congressmen. Staying involved is the best thing that you can do, and while I used to lean heavily republican, the more I see and read and research on my own, the more I'm swayed to a libetarian mindset.

We really don't have a two party system here in the US. We have two parties that do almost the same thing but with the difference being on what they spend it on. Thinking big picture and using a broad brush to paint with, both support bigger government it just depends on what you're looking for as far as big government goes. R have this war industrial complex they're building on and D's have this social welfare reform that they're spending on. Both are using our tax money in an illicit way since currently neither of them are constitutional.

Which leaves me to believe that yes, Ron Paul is the one and only person in congress that actually gets it.

I don't know what u see good about the republicans?  Former Pres.Bill C. got the US out of the RED during his term, until Former Pres. G. Bush totally destroyed it using Terrier to scare the American people to voting for him again. I'm using that excuse b/c I don't want to believe Americans are just really stupid sheep! When I say sheep, I mean just because we didn't get all the promises just the way you want it to be.... I'm not going to blindly vote republican just because I don't totally agree with the democrat. One thing I'm sure of is that I refuse to put back into power the republicans who ARE reason why we are in this economical fall OUT right now! YOU MIGHT AS WELL PUT THAT GUN UPON YOUR HEAD & PULL THAT TRIGGER!!!!!

After reading the responses, I see that a lot of Americans are not happy about both parties. I agree but if you don't vote, you'll be stuck with what some crazy (PSYCHO) AMERICANS have voted for. Can you live that? Even if you can find 1 good thing in the candidate vote for him/her. Some of you also noted that there streams of  negative ads on both sides. It totally turns me off that I just don't listen anymore. What is really getting Me pissed off ; is Both parties are spending billions of dollars so that they can keep their jobs. Monies that can be used to bring back the US economy + other problems needed to be solved. Why can't the people be able to employ these candidates but place a 90 day trial on the job. If they can't do the job they need to be fired. All of us are given on the job trial when we get hired, why not them?

You got that right.  If you don't vote, don't talk the talk, if you don't walk the walk.   :peace:
