I deleted my account on there just earlier this week.

I had the account for over 6 years, but it had way too much spam on it and my friends don't even use it anymore.

I had to quit because of all the creepy guys sending me friend requests and creepy messages. I was 16-17 years old and it was so not appropriate for guys in their 50s to be trying to add me. Guys in their 20's too, especially when they sent me messages hitting on me. Ugh.

I still have my account on myspace, but haven't checked it in months. Many of my friends have abandoned it.

My spouse and I both have it, but we quit doing much with it.  The only reason we're on there is because all of our family members are on there, and we stay in touch with them thru there too.

But we do take advantage of it.  For instance, we .rss feed our Flickr and .rss feed our blogs thru there.

And we talk about our businesses, health and even Fusion Cash on the blogs.  So people that go to the profile will see the .rss feeded version of the blog and click out on it.  It's actually an added application and MySpace does not change any links inside the blog .rss feed, like they normally do when just pasting plain links.

I say, if you have one, use it to your full advantage.

It use to be a great concept and I enjoyed it when it first came out, but not it is just a bunch of spam bots and pervs.

I still have my account since some of my friends and family still have one and don't want to get another method of social networking.

I probably only log on once a week and that's mainly since it's a cheaper way to communicate with my family from Europe.
I prefer facebook even though social networking isn't my thing.

I mostly stay on there to see what my favorite bands are up to. Like when they post blogs, bulletins, etc...

I deleted mine about 2 years ago. I only got on in the first place so I could keep in touch with my friends in the military. It takes too much time to keep up with and those friends got Facebook. I have a facebook account. I don't spend much time on it either though. I keep it to keep up with my military friends and my family members that I don't get to see much. I don't waste my time with all the games and such I use it strictly for chatting and pictures. People make too big a deal out of invasion of privacy. Frankly if you don't want people to see your profile then set it to private otherwise don't put valid information on it. I have my hometown set as nowhere TX. If you don't want people knowing certain things about you then don't post it. Duh!
