That's funny about laying the clothes on the lawn.  I obviously didn't take it too seriously as I did clean the house.

I sure hope you get to feeling well soon so you can enjoy your time off.  My task list for today is to do a bit of shopping and a little more planting.  I'm trying to find the plant String of pearls but can't seem to find it anywhere.  I'm going to move some seedum from the top of the yard to the rock garden too.

The pool is ready to open.  I'm just waiting on Bob to get home tomorrow so we can remove the tarp.  I'm looking forward to blowing up my chair and drifting with a book, in the sun with my feet in the cool water.

I finished a glow in the dark plastic canvas tissue box cover yesterday and started a baby afghan for a shower I'll be going to in June.  I've still been walking and working out with the WII fit.  Sore but still haven't dropped any weight.  Arrgghhh...

Kim,

You just keep up with the workout - you'll get up one morning and go WOW!!!!! - because the weight suddenly starts dropping off!!  Or, as you know, sometimes it comes off in inches first!  Either way, hang in there!

That will be nice with the pool.  You can relax like you said or exercise or cool off - great possibilities!

I haven't accomplished much of anything this weekend - shots took a toll on me.  I'm starting to feel a little better tonight so hopefully tomorrow I can get some things done around the house that I'm wanting to work on.  Some patients have to get the shots twice a month - I'm glad I'm only once a month - ugh!

It seems like spring left us in a hurry as of yesterday.  It's been in the 90s with very little breeze - just plain hot outside.  Even the kids around the area only seemed to come out early this morning and later today, around dusk.  Summer is trying to take over with a vengeance, lol!

Have fun tomorrow trying out your new pool!  Talk to you more then!

Julie   :)

Julie,

I sure hope you start to improve and quickly!   I want to hear that you are feeling better and enjoying your time off work.

Our weather was beautiful here yesterday.  Bob on the other hand spent the best part of a hour in a safe shelter hiding from a tornado.  He is in South Bend, IN.  It delayed his trip home because they didn't get their stuff at the track packed up last night and will have to do it today.  After he called I checked the weather channel and Joplin MO had been hit hard and it was headed toward St. Louis.  There was tornadic weather occurring from the Canadian border to the Mexican!  Today it's dark here and we are calling for storms.

I won't get the pool open until he is home to help get the big tarp off and of course I can't use it until this weather clears up.  Looks like I'm going to have to walk inside with Leslie Sansone today.

Keep hanging in there darlin'...things will get better.

Kim,

Good grief!  There seems to be an awful lot of tornadic activity, even in places they don't usually have tornadoes.  Even all the flooding going on seems a bit much from previous years.  I hope the weather straightens up for your area today and that Bob gets back quickly and okay.  Maybe tomorrow with the pool?

I am feeling better today than I did the weekend.  Still no bronchitis, though!!!  This is amazing going this long without it.  If I have to have a puny weekend once a month in exchange for the bronchitis/asthma flare-up then so be it!  Thanks very much for the encouragement - it is greatly appreciated and taken to heart!

It sure is beautiful today, just extremely hot.  This young (older) lady is avoiding the hottest part of the day outside, that's for sure!  I can use that time to catch up on some things around here.  I'm so glad I'm feeling more myself today so I can work on some things!

That was a pretty picture you posted on FB.  The way the sun cast the shadows from the window with the mobile and the curtain was really pretty.  I noticed your lava lamp back there, too.  I have one back from the so-called "hippie" days - I'm like you in that respect - those were the days, weren't they!

Keep enjoying your spring break - you need it and you deserve it!  "See" you later!

Julie  :)

Hi Dianne2012,

A blog to me is when someone designates a page either to the purpose of posting regularly about events in their life and usually allows other people to comment and interact on those pages.  Although this is Fusion Cash's site and pages I just took a little slice of the their forum and designated my own space where I write regularly.  Julie is a constant companion and contributor here and various other people have stopped by to say hello and tell us a little about themself.  If I'm not mistaken your comment makes you a blogger too!   :bunny:

Welcome and I hope you will visit again or even become a regular.

Julie,

We had a major tornado type cell move over the house last night.  It was really ugly and the sirens were going off for a warning but it moved along with no harm done.

I think we'll hold off a couple of more days on the pool.  The maple wings are flying everywhere and the filter would have to work overtime to keep the water clean.  I'm glad you are feeling better.  I had to go buy some allergy medicine yesterday because I keep choking up.  With all the new blooms on the trees and everyone mowing I have been suffering.

Thanks for the comment on the picture.  I am always looking for small reflections.  At night the lights I have along the walk ways cast a pretty pattern that I wish I could capture.

You asked about the lava lamp.  I purchased that when I was working as a QA analyst.  Many times I had to sit and wait for webpages to load and they would be slow so I would watch the lava lamp and try to relax and not get frustrated.  It's just a throwback but we do have a really old one, red, in the basement that really came from the 70's.  I need to get it out and working again.

Yes I was a hippie and still am in many ways. I'm your classic tree hugging hippie that loves nature and holistic and natural things.  And...you have to admit the music from our era was the best since Bach and Beethoven!   :peace:

Glad you are feeling better.
Stay in the house during the heat of the day and sit out in the cooler evening air if you must...just anything that makes you the happiest is what you need to embrace.  Have a great day regardless of those stupid allergies.

I had to stop by and post something, I'm a big blogger, there isn't a day that go by that I'm blogging but I wanted to introduce myself and say hi to everyone!

Hello all,

My name is Tasha S. I'm 28 years old I live in Maryland with my parents and brother trying to finish up with the school life and finally get on my own two feet and grow as my own person. I'd love to make new friends if not here then where? I'm a writer in the making, my teacher told me I have a gift of writing and my boyfriend tells me I write to much... in my eyes I don't think I write enough but I'm always interested in making friends so I hope you are too!

Have a great day everyone, the week has just begun do not let anyone make your day bad make sure you can make your own day great and not depend on anyone else to brighten your day because even when you look in the mirror you should see the reason for your day to be brighten!

This is me You don't like too bad!

Dianne,
Welcome to one of the best blogs ever!  I really enjoy blogging with Kim and whoever else joins in!  You fit right in and I hope you'll join in more and just share your thoughts or activities as you want to and when you want to!

Tashy,
It's great to meet you, too!  I do enjoy making new friends also.  I've made some really nice friends in FC.  I look forward to hearing more from you.  I like to write, too.  I have some poems published (individually) and am working on my own book of poetry.  I would like to attempt a short story but need to get the poems finished first.  You keep writing!!!

Kim,
That is definitely scary with a tornado storm cell over you.  I am so glad that it moved on and that you are okay.  Here Bob gets back and it's like it followed him!  I went to Nebraska one year to see some friends and during the night that siren woke my daughter and I up.  My friend's family all came down to the basement to join us (we were in a nice extra bedroom down there.)  That was my first experience with the siren, the storming, and the horrible wind sound.  I don't want to ever go through that again.  I feel so badly for these people who have lost their homes, cars, special family items, pets, etc.  It's hard to believe weather can get that horrific.

I'm feeling even better today!  My strength is coming back and I feel more like myself.  Thanks, again, for the encouragement!!!  It's definitely needed and helpful more than you know!!!

I totally agree about the 70s music!  My family still teases me about my "hippie" days and my music.  That's quite fine with me - I love those days and the music!

Hope the weather is better today!  Maybe tomorrow will be a possibility for the pool.  I want you to be able to enjoy it fully/daily before going back to the books.  Have a super day!

Julie

I never really got into blogging.  But it's a very popular topic.  I guess the online version of a public diary!

Kim,

I hope all of the major storming hasn't messed with your area.  I heard that the tornados have calmed down some in the mid-west.  Poor Joplin really got hit bad.

Have you been able to finally try out and enjoy your pool?  I just wanted to check in and say hi and make sure everything is okay your way.  Talk to you later!

Julie  :)

Good morning everyone!  At least for our area the weather looks a little better for the weekend.  I hope you can enjoy some clear weather also.

Julie, no the pool isn't open yet.  Maybe this afternoon or tomorrow.  It will still require some cleaning of the sides that I'll have to manually scrub but we do have an automatic scrubber ready to go too.

We don't have a heater in it so the water will be a bit cool yet.

I hope you are feeling better and will have a wonderful Memorial day weekend.

I'm still feeling pretty good right now, just have the annoying cough.  But I can handle that!  We went last night (my hubby, daughter, and I) to help at our church's lock-in for our youth.  I stayed until midnight - didn't want to push it.  The kids and adults had a super time.  After I left, the boys all conked out in their area, while the girls had their fingernails and/or toenails polished by the pastor's wife.  They all washed the church bus this morning and had a huge breakfast of breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, toast, and donuts.  It's one of the first things that I've actually felt like going and helping and enjoying myself without being too run down too quick, plus not having an asthma attack while there!!!

I hope you have a very nice Memorial weekend yourself!  I hope everyone in here does, too!

Later!

Julie  :)

Welcome JKlol5.  If you can crochet you should be able to master the knitting too.  I often recommend the Lions Brand Yarn site to people who are wanting to learn either craft.  They have really good tutorials to help you learn.

Julie, I'm glad you are feeling better.  It sounds like the kids had a good time.  I love breakfast burritos!

I guess we are going to go sailing on Lake Erie on Monday, providing the weather holds out.  A friend has a sail boat and will take us out.  I've never been sailing before so this will be a new experience for me.

I woke up to another rainy day here and the darn pool filter quit working again.  Bob will tear it apart, again, to see if he can get it running but otherwise we'll have to order a new one so it's going to be a bit of a wait either way.

I'm back in study mode for school again.  My medical drug card deck arrived yesterday so I'm working on getting the list of cards together that I will need for this semester and getting them into plastic sleeves in a binder.  I have to pick my books up on Tuesday and Wednesday is the first day of school.  Gosh this break went fast!

Have a great weekend everyone!
