Kim,

She's finding out that she can't pull anything over on you.  Shame on her for doing what she's doing.  I'm glad his biological daughter at least gives you some support in this.  I hope you and Bob can find some time to work on things with this, too.

My DIL texted me today several times cursing at me, at my son (even though he's on deployment.)  She's moved out and left me hanging with the house.  She's furious because I won't sign the house over to her name.  She sold my daughter's appliances without permission - they were only to use them until she got new ones, and then she was to let us know so we could pick them up and bring them up here.  She did it out of spite.  I told her she will replace them or pay what they are worth to my daughter.
My mother-in-law wants her to bring the house keys to her in person tomorrow.  When I told my DIL this, she has refused to answer back about it.  She's scared of my MIL so I'm really not sure if she will follow through with facing her.  She said some awful things about my son, too, because he won't call me and tell me to sign the house over to her.  She said she and him are going to have a **** storm when he gets back and she's taking "extreme measures." I told she needs to be careful what she's saying because it's texted in print and copied/saved, if anything happens to him. Also, that she needs to stop talking like that - he's not even here to defend himself.  I, personally, believe she wanted me to sign the house to her, then she would divorce him and leave him hanging.  I told her if she would have waited until he came back in Nov., the house would be deeded over and would be theirs. But no, she didn't want to wait and has caused this big rift between us.  I'm worried about whether I'll even get to see my precious granddaughters.
My MIL and FIL are going to check the house out and make sure she hasn't damaged anything out of spite.  I cannot believe she is doing this.  I guess I will find out more tomorrow.

I'm still kind of wiped out.  My cough is irritating me and I've been using the inhaler - I'm pretty sure it's because of the stress of the weekend and today.  I hope tomorrow is better.

Keep me posted on yours.  Thinking of you and praying for you!

Julie  :)

What a witch your DIL is being!  It is just way too uncomprehendable for me to imagine people acting so badly!  The way it sounds she might have gotten the house deeded over and then left your son and tried to get full ownership.  I hope the house is in decent shape.

Bob and I finally had time to talk at lunch yesterday and I think now he finally understands some of what I was putting up with but wasn't able to convey to him.  It was a no holds barred conversation and I really released a dam of thoughts and feelings and must say I'm quite proud of how I made my statements.  I was mean about anything and didn't allow petty things, such as the six toothbrushes and no towel space to enter the equation but stated the facts in a logical manner.  He totally understands and is supporting me in that we are not going to actually sit her down and confront her but we are going to correct the child more aggressively in respect to personal possessions and this boyfriend being around the house is going to be dealt with too.

I got another fianancial blow yesterday. I only received a partial unemployment payment yesterday and when I tried to investigate why found out that the state of Indiana will not be paying people in the 4th tier of their unemployment for the next 4 weeks because the state is currently under 8.5 unemployment.  Doesn't make sense to me but those are the facts.  A paper is being mailed to me to apply for the next 20 week extension and once that's gone my TRA is supposed to kick in and pick up the payment amounts that I was receiving in unemployment.  If this doesn't all get straightened out and soon I'm going to be forced to just get a job and drop schooling.  Bob tells me no but Julie I'm not married to him and if I can't support myself I will not allow him to pay my way.  I've always been self-supporting and am far too independent to become his charity case.  This economy and the job outsourcing and unemployment rate is really doing a number on people like me.

Later my friend.  Prayers for your peace of mind and health.

Hi Kim,

Wow!  I'm proud of you for being able to finally just let it out to him.  Personally, if he is in for the long haul with you, then he'll listen and do everything he can to make things better for you!  It sounds like he really is in his heart but just doesn't like confrontation. (Kind of like my son right now.)  I hope he follows through for you.

As far as the unemployment, that's awful.  What's wrong, to me, is that by doing what they are doing in that state, they are basically "punishing" the very ones they are supposed to be helping.  That's a tough spot for you to be in and to have come this far with your schooling seems unfair.  I really hope they fix that quick - I can totally understand your concerns where Bob is concerned.  I'd hate to see this future road for you change to something you would not enjoy doing.  You were already there and done that back before Christmas.  Keep me posted, okay?

I sent my son an email today to let him know what happened yesterday.  Technically, it's his decision whether or not to not stay in the house because it's our family blood line.  So I'm letting him know what he would like to do.  I honestly think he doesn't realize just how far she's taken this.  We haven't heard from her at all since my MIL got involved with wanting the keys given to her.  My DIL is scared of her and wouldn't want to face her.  Also, if she damaged things in the house out of spite, she knows that my MIL and her hubby are coming to look at it for me.  So, at this point I'm not sure what's going on.  My father in law drove past and looked in the mailbox, but there was only mail in there.  I told my son that his grandparents are trying to help me since I'm out of town and him since he's overseas.

I went ahead and told my son the main reason I would not sign the deed to her, in that I'm afraid she and her mom were going to use it to their advantage, and if DIL divorces him, like she's inferring by her taking "extreme measures" with him, that he nor I would have no leg to stand on and he would be left out with nothing.  She's blaming me for everything but I put the blame back on her since she refuses to wait as agreed until he comes back.  I guess the only thing I'm really guilty of is not letting her and her mom have their way and have messed their plans up big time.  I really think she's not going to let us have the girls during the summer, as planned, unless he gets involved, so hubby's trying to help me to keep from losing my wits with that idea - I am having a difficult time with that part.

I'm finally catching up with my rest from that weird weekend.  Keep your chin up and doing what you are doing.  I'll talk to you later!

Julie  :)

Hi, ButterflyWings!  We've spoken in other threads before but now I've learned more about you in this one.  I've always liked your profile name - I love butterflies!  I love your pic, too.

We do have the love of music and writing in common.  I was a music major in college, and I, too, would love to write a book, including a children's book.  I've had a few poems individually published but am trying to finish enough to finally have my own poem book published.  I have an aunt, who is an established author of children's books, and is now working on a family history book of our family lineage on my dad's side.  She's an encourager to me as I'm trying to hopefully get there myself!

I like to play FB games, too.  Which ones do you enjoy?  I love Gardens of Time, Zoo World, Birdland, and Ravenwood Fair the most.  I only dabble with Farmville, Frontierville, and a couple of others.  Not enough time in the day to play them all and get things done, lol!

What kind of crafts do you like to make?  You sound like you have a wonderful family.  5 dogs keep you busy, too!  We have 3 cats and 1 dog.  My personal cat is my profile pic.

I hope to see you again.  I'm glad you came in here.  Kim has a very nice thread/blog here!!

Crafty is good.  If you want to write a children's book you should go for it and not just sit on your dream.  I'm on FB quite a bit too and also play games there and on Pogo.  My addiction on FB is bejeweled.  On Pogo I try for the badges but my favorites are Canasta and Battle Phlinx.  I go to school full-time so it's hard for me to spend much time on either and I also spend quite a bit of time working on genealogy files.

Good morning to you too Julie.  I have a math test I'm trying to study for so I'm on limited time this morning but hope all is well.

Have a great day!

Kim

Hi Kim,

We figured out last night that she has now gone into our son's FB profile and blocked all of us from him.  I'm communicating with him through the ship's email anyway.  It's just the point of things with her spite.  My brother- and sister-in laws and our nieces and nephew went in and blocked her.

She won't respond now at all and never gave the keys to my mother-in-law.  She's not left them in the mailbox either because my father-in-law has been routinely checking.  I'm leaving in a few minutes to travel down there to meet my mother-in-law and a locksmith.  I want her blocked from getting in there since she did let me know she's done damage to both bathrooms.  With her mom, there's no telling what else they've done or plan to do.  My MIL also has an investor who is ready to buy the house outright - this would save it from going into default and keep a lien off of the estate.  My MIL is wonderful and is so supportive - I couldn't have asked for anyone better!

I saw on FB about you wanting to sell your kayak, and other things.  I am really sorry it's coming to this for you.  That just doesn't seem right what they are doing.

I hope you aced your Math test!  Talk to you later,

Julie  :)

Dianna,

I play puzzle hearts on FB, too.  I'll see if I can find you and befriend you.  I enjoy counted cross-stitch when I either have time or the carpel tunnel isn't bad.  I used to make beaded bracelets and necklaces, but haven't done any for awhile.

Kim,
I'll go more in detail later, but at this point, all I can say is hubby and I received an email from our son today.  He's made a big turn and gone completely to her side.  His words were to the effect of us needing to think of him as being killed over there and we'll not see him again, and goodbye.  I'm too upset to write much more for now.  He wrote things in there that she said that were twisted her way.  He's chosen at this point.

Also, I had to go down there today - she and her mom would not return my daughter's appliances (they put them in her mom's kitchen) and put her mom's old ones in the garage; they took my mom's washer and dryer.  My mother-in-law and step father-in-law went over to look in the windows to see what they could; also DIL never turned the keys over - so she wanted to know if she could change the locks.  DIL and her mom showed up while they were there.  They had a big truck with them - it looked like they were going to take more of our stuff and got caught, not expecting the in-laws there.  DIL was very foul and ugly to my mom-in-law and wouldn't let the girls go see her.  Yet she told my son that his grandmother trashed her in front of their kids.  They left without anything then.  The police came while I was there.  He said that unless she owned the house she should have asked permission to remove any appliance first.  He tried calling her and her mom and had to leave them messages.  He told them this and also said they have 1 week to either contact us and return the items or the money for them or a felony warrant for criminal theft would be issued for both.  I really don't want to press charges at all - just to get her (both of them) to understand I'm (and my family) aren't going to play games with them anymore, especially when my son is not here.

I'm worried about the granddaughters, but I realize this was going to happen one day - I guess it's now. :(

Julie,

My heart is breaking for you. What in the world is this girl telling your son to make him act against you and your husband.  She is so conniving!  People like her just irritate me to no end.

I'm glad it worked out that you were there when they showed up with the truck.  Just think how that would have turned out if you weren't.

Did your son correspond via the email address you have for him on the ship?  You're going to just have to write a detailed letter explaining things to him.  If he refuses to listen he will eventually find out how she is and unfortunately it will no doubt be the hard way.

Each day when we get our FC emails there is a little quote at the bottom.  Today's was this and it popped right out at me:
Your Daily Quotation:
"Oh, my friend, it's not what they take away from you that counts. It's what you do with what you have left."
-- Hubert Humphrey

I'm not too upset about selling the kayak.  I only got out on the water about six times last year and with my money situation I wouldn't be able to go this summer at all and really need the cash to stay afloat (no pun intended) until they get my unemployment mess cleaned up.  I might be going to school for nothing because I can't afford to go if my daily living expenses won't be met, regardless of the free ride from the government for the schooling.  I might just have to find a job, regardless of pay rate, and work to support myself.  Thus is life.

Prayers my friend.

Welcome Vanga.  Pleased to meet you.  I hope you are enjoying the US.  What is the MBA program?  Is it something you do from home?  I've always wanted a work at home job but am currently going to school for an advanced associates degree in Medical Assistant.  This includes coding and billing but I'll also be able to do the same things as an LPN such as injections, phlebotomy and patient stats.

If you are looking for friends stop by often as we are a friendly group!

Just popping in quickly to say hello.  I'm off today to visit my daughter then I'm going to my sons house to help him clean and organize the basement to the house they moved into last week.  Day two of my eleven day break from school.  So far it's been all work.  I do intend to take some play time though.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend.  Be safe on the roads.
