Kim,

The middle of September isn't but about a month away.  I remember when I was on the track team, before a meet, we would wear the weights on our ankles when running.  Then when it was time for the meet, they would come off and we would feel so light, like we were racing on air.  I say that to tell you you've got your weights on right now but pretty soon you can take them off and "fly" into your break so you can get some things accomplished.  I hope I made some sense here and didn't make myself look like a fool, lol!

I'm glad you were able to talk with Carol.  I hope she'll work with you - time is something you don't have extra of!!

I've heard of the tonic of apple cider vinegar, but have never tried it.  For our air conditioner filters, we use the kind that are labled for allergy sufferers.  Our home is extra-insulated, too.  And then we keep it a little cooler in here than normal.  With all of that, I do better inside than before trying those things.

Hope you have a better day, today!  Talk to you soon.

Julie  :)

I'm hanging in as best I can but so looking forward to the time off.  I have the wedding in Pittsburgh on Saturday and am going to stay put and catch up on some much needed housecleaning on Sunday.  I have made a friend on FB through the local river watchers group that I might be able to do some kayaking with.  Bob said he might take me Monday evening too.

I woke up through the night coughing and hacking and have a headache this morning.  Hoping this will go away as the day progresses.  How are you feeling?

Kim,

Goodness, you are a busy lady!  Hope the wedding is nice.  That's neat you've made a new friend with the kayaking in common.  You need that outlet and I'm glad for you!

So sorry for your coughing and headache.  I'm okay, just still fighting the bronchitis right now.  I have a headach but I think it's sinus.  Ragweed is starting up some - I always react to that.  Sure hope it gets better for you quick!

Enjoy your Friday and keep hanging in there.

Julie  :)

Woke up with another headache and a bit of a sore throat.  Nothing serious and I usually get better after I've been up for a while and my head has time to drain.  I did get my kayak here finally and we went shopping last night to get Bob's lifevest and paddles so we are now fully equipped.  Just need a free slot of time to get on the water.

I did badly on my test yesterday.  Got a D.  The first one in Anatomy.  You get to drop your lowest grade each semester so this will probably be the one.  I just can't seem to concentrate.  I understand everything going in but I'm not retaining the information.  I think I need a new memory chip.  I'm pulling a B in the class otherwise.

I just need to simplify, simplify, simplify!

Anything up for you for the weekend?

Hey Kim,

Sorry about your headache and sore throat trying to mess with you.  I sure hope it clears up soon for you.  I know the ragweed is just starting to come out here and that's when the rough part starts for me until it clears out.  I'm really hoping these asthma shots will help protect my allergy cells from them where maybe I won't have as hard of a time.  I'm running fever today, with the crackling still going on in my chest.  I guess if it's that way Monday, I'll go in to the Urgent Care up here and get it checked.  It's just not hitting me as fast - maybe the shots are helping to keep it back some.

By the time I'm writing this, you are probably headed to or at the wedding in Pittsburgh.  I hope it goes well.

That's great finally having what you both need in order to go kayaking.  And when Bob can't go, I'm glad you have a friend now that can go with you.  It sounds like a lot of fun, but I think I would be afraid of flipping over and not able to flip back over - I know I'm showing my naive side because I've never been around it, lol.  It's probably easier than I think it is!

I feel for you on your test in Anatomy.  That's a hard subject in the first place.  No wonder your brain doesn't want to cooperate too well with the concentration - look at what you've been going through lately.  Part of your brain is probably stuck on that stuff and doesn't want to let go of it.  Since you are about a month away from your next break, I know you'll be able to keep that B in the class, if not even do better!  Hang in there and then your brain can take a break while you sort some things out.

Not too much planned on the homefront here.  This is part of the time the grands were supposed to be here, so I'm really missing them.  By the way, I posted a picture on FB of my son in a current picture on the ship.  He's the one in the yellow hard hat.  It's only a side view, but that's my boy!!

Hope you get some things done tomorrow that you were wanting to do.  Take care and I'll "see" you then!

Julie  :)

I am 19 years old and I am currently not employed but in the process of looking for a job. I love being online and making money online that is my dream is to become rich working online one day and I am sure I will one day. I play seven different instruments and those are Piano which I started off playing and then Saxophone (all of them) in the 6th grade. 9th grade I tried French horn but my lips where to big lol for the mouth piece but I got a good sound out of it. 10th grade to 12th grade I played Baritone and Trombone. After I found out how they sound I became a huge low brass fan I play Euphonium in church on Sundays. God has blessed me with a great talent that I try to keep up.

Welcome to the blog!  Also, welcome to Fusion Cash!  It's definitely a great place to earn some extra money, make new friends, and express your opinions!  You are definitely talented at 19 - that's wonderful.  I'm glad you get to use your musical talent at church, too.  I was a music education major myself.  I majored in voice, and know how to play the guitar, and some piano, and handbells.  Keep up the great work! :)

Julie,

The headache did finally go away yesterday.  We got in Pittsburgh around 9:30.  I did about five heads of hair and my friend Rose did another girls.  This girl is six foot tall and has hair to her knees to you can imagine.  I'll try to post pictures to FB in a few days.

We stayed until after they cut the cake but left before all of the dancing.  I had a two hour drive ahead of me (home and to run my friend Rose to her house) so didn't get home until almost 9.  I'd have fallen to sleep at the wheel had I stayed for all the festivities.

I can imagine you are missing the kids.  I feel for you.  I know that's hard.  My daughter called me all bummed out yesterday because her daughter has decided on Penn State instead of Virginia Tech.  PS is a 6 hour drive as compared to 2 hours to VTU.  She is just overwhelmed that Dakota is already 17 years old and how quickly she grew up.  Her husband told her she would be allowed to rent a small apartment in State College so she can visit while Dakota is in school. (Kota has to spend one year in the dorms but could maybe utilize the apartment later too.)  Knowing my daughter she will be living in PA before you know it.

Did you see the news about the Indiana State Fair ground stage collapsing?  I've been to that fair many times, it's huge, and I know how quickly the winds can kick up out there on the prairie.  Such a tragedy.

I'm going to bring Rose over to the house today to help her with some of her computer homework, plus get all my tasks and chores done too.  It's raining this morning but if it clears up Bob has said he thought he'd get off of work early enough that we could take the kayaks out for an hour or two on the reservoir.  We shall see.

Hope you see some improvement today.  Did you ever get the Jaycee Dugard book?

Thank you for the positive feedback and I love playing my euphonium in church for the Lord Jesus Christ it's amazing! Handbells sound so beautiful if you know what you are doing.

I love handbells. The kids at the church I used to go to performed several Christmas songs using the bells and it was amazing.  They sooo enjoyed learning the songs.  It's the simple things that make you go awwww.....

KingOfPop,

Handbells do have a beautiful sound.  I also teach handbells to a children's group at church.  They aren't the major expensive, and they aren't the plastic ones.  These are the metal ones and are color-coded to help teach them.  They are getting where they can move up to the next step with their own page in front of them.  I'm really proud of them and their desire to play handbells for the Lord!

Kim,
Glad you made it back safe and sound from Pittsburgh - that was a long day!!  Sounds like today is a busy day, too, with all you are wanting to accomplish.  Is Rose one of your classmates?  I do hope you and Bob can kayak some!!

I feel for your daughter.  That's hard for a parent when a child leaves the nest at any age.  But further away makes a big difference in our "mommy hearts."  That's neat about the apartment.  You are probably right that she'll be there a lot!!

No, I didn't hear about the Indiana State Fairground's stage collapsing!  That's sad.  The weather just seems especially rough this year and so many things have been destroyed.  I hope winter will be kinder in that respect.  Speaking of winter, I am so ready for the cooler weather to set in where I can enjoy outdoors more often.  I love the cool/cold weather and feel my best in the winter.

I haven't read the Jaycee Dugard book yet.  When I get paid at the end of the month, it's on my list to try and buy it.  I really do want to read her book.  In the meantime, I'm working on several books I haven't read yet that have been sitting on my shelf, patiently waiting their turn, lol.  Right now I'm reading Never Look Away, by Linwood Barclay.  The man's wife has disappeared, and while searching for her, finds out she's not who she says she is (is using someone else's name and birth certificate); plus the fact his reporter's instinct has landed him in the middle of something he's not supposed to know about and doesn't support it and they want to keep him quiet about it.

Alright, heads up, class is on tomorrow (or today - Monday) when you read this!!  Go for it - knock 'em good (anatomy tests) and I'm cheering for you!!!!  Talk to you later!!!

Julie      :)

Julie,

Have I mentioned Paperback swap to you before?  It's a good place to unload some of your used books and get new ones.  You just have to print out a label for the address and mail the book but then receive a credit to order one from someone else.  You have to post ten books to get started. I think I'd get credit if you join through me so I'll send you an email invitation.

Back to school today but I'm really not feeling up to it.  I only got a partial unemployment check last week and there is no news about my extension and I haven't been able to reach any of the TRA coordinators.  I'm down to my last few dollars and don't know how long this is going to take to get straightened out.  It's a bummer for sure.

Later

Kim,

I think I remember you saying something about Paperback swap once.  I would definitely like an email invitation - thanks!

So they still haven't straightened out the unemployment situation you spoke about?  That's got to be hurting a lot of you financially right now.  I agree with you - it's a bummer.  Do you think the TRA coordinators are avoiding giving answers at this point?  I sure hope it gets turned around for you - you've put a lot of effort into this, as well as all of the others.

My neighbor will probably drop by this morning.  Their burnt trailer was totally removed Friday and Saturday - it looks strange over there.  They are hoping they will get their other check today.

Hope you are feeling better.  Talk with you later!

Julie  :)
