Backup cameras. You don't have to wait though and can get them now. Also you can get a beeper alert if you are about to hit something with your car while backing up.

I hope they make a car where it can run on 100 miles per gallon of gas.   Now that would be a great savings for us average people.   Gas is going up here.   I can not afford a hybrid car.  They cost to much.  I was just wondering if they will require us to by the hdbrid car before it is over with.  Hope not.  Everyone have a Merry Christmas and may God bless each of you this year and the next.

While it could annoying, I wouldn't mind a beeper alert.  I use my side mirrors and back mirror, but my headrests are so high that it is hard to see right behind me.

Too bad its not required earlier.  It would save lives now if required now.

I agree, I have a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and it has just about every safety Measure possible like the Fire suppression system, backup camera, and the 65Db Back up Alarm

Really I have never heard this before. Is the government going to pay for everyone to get one if they do not have one yet?

Back up cameras are a great idea.  I have one in my car and use it all of the time.  I just do not like the government dictating what goes in a car because it will cost more money for everyone.  Safety is important, but government intrusion is another thing.  The camera will cost about $500.00 for everyone.  Some people may not be able to afford this.  What's worse, some people may not even use them.

It's a good safety feature.
