why is there so much hatred in this world today

Evil is the same as all of history. We just have better reporting with camers and internet.

People have become to selfish, self-centered, greedy,  and uncaring!

It is a simple answer. People have pushed God out of their lives. It is all about them and how they can get ahead. There is no caring and compassion any more. Well, very little anyways. And most people don't tolerate the differences in others. If someone is different in their eyes they get persecuted for it. Put God back in our lives and schools and the hatred will subside quite a bit.
