Have you ever pulled an all nighter?

:cat:  If you are speaking of pulling an all nighter with a job, I would say no.  However, because of my insomnia, there are times I pull all nighters because of not being able to go to sleep!  Sometimes even the meds don't work. :)

In the past, I would pull all nighters plenty of times.  But I do think if I tried that today, I would keel over from being light headed, disoriented and just feeling lousy from lack of sleep.

My Spring semister in my senior year, I pulled an all nighter 3 times a month.  The homework load was killing me and the projects never stopped....I am glad those days are over...

I did a couple all nighters in college - once to study for a final, another to write a paper I put off to the very last moment.  Both times my sleep cycle was messed up for a few days.

I did a few near all nighters in a row during an implementation a few years ago - had about 6 hours of sleep in 4 days - I was a complete wreck by day 3.  Couldn't eat anything but soup, saltines and 7-up due to my stomach being nauseous.  I was in tears several times as every time I tried to get some sleep the phone would ring again waking me up to solve another problem.  That was probably the worst.  Took about a week to recover from that.

On the other extreme - there's an annual trivia contest I play in - 54 hours straight.  The team sleeps in shifts to make it through.  Usually the last day of the contest I'm up for 24+ hours.  Typically I get up a little before midnight for the Saturday night/Sunday morning graveyard shift, and then don't go to sleep until after the contest ends and the awards are given early Monday morning.  This usually takes a couple days for me to get back on normal sleep schedule, but because I'm having fun with friends, it's doesn't seem as bad.  Plus it's something I plan for so I'm prepared for staying up that long.

I've pulled all nighters. Not because of school or a job but just because I'm an insomniac/night owl.

I pulled all nighters before. I don't know what you would call it when you work third shift and stay up all day too. I used to stay up a couple days in a row. Oh to be young again lol

I love all nighters.... I do my best work during them  ;D... I would have to say my longest shift was 32 hours long and everything went wrong... that wasn't a good time. However, in general love them especially when Im getting paid for them ;D ;D ;D ;D

When I was in school, I pulled all nighters before the exams. If I had studied better during the semester, I didn't have to do that. Oh well, those are the good old days.
Sometimes when I can't sleep, I would pull one and watch movies. But the next day, I pay big price for it.

most of the time i try to do my work during the day but the easiest way to concentrate is when there are no distractions.
