I love the flavor of charcoal, but think that gas grills are easier to run.  No messing with the charcoal!  But then you always need to have a tank as well. Each has its plus and minuses.

Gas grills are easier, less messy, and I don't really taste too much difference between the two personally, so I'm all for gas.

Charcoal grills offer a lot better taste on most foods, but they take a little while longer to heat up

I like the taste of charcoal, but the convenience of gas.  My husband does the grilling, and he prefers gas, so that's what we go with.

I would choose gas grill over a charcoal grill, reason being the charcoal is a pain to clean up after you have been using the grill for awhile.

There is just something about the taste of the food from a charcol grill  that makes it so much better than a gas grill.  We have both but definately my family prefers to grill on the charcol grill.

I think that a lot of it depends on the food that you are cooking.  We use both the gas grill and the charcoal grill.  Sometime we use both when we cook dinner.  Or sometimes we will smoke something on the charcoal grill.

I myself use a gas grill, it's easier. I still enjoy charcoal a lot!

I have a gas grill, but would love to learn to cook on coals.  Does anyone have any websites on how to cook with coals?  My parents cook with both gas and coals and I think the coals taste better.

I agree Charcoal grill does give better flavor, but gas grill is nice if you have to cook something quick!
