If you can choose...
« on: February 13, 2011, 11:23:28 pm »
Would you rather pick a job that you love with modest pay or would you work on a job you hate with a better wages? I would much rather work on a job that I enjoy for lower wages.  :peace:

Definitely a job that I am happy at. Even if I am making less money, I am not paying for it with my sanity.

  8)  I think I would take a job I enjoy for the lesser pay.. I tend to be humble so, a good job is a happy job..

I think if I could find the job I like for less money I would take it. However I haven't been able to find the job I like yet so I work at a job I don't like but have enough to take care of the kids. That's what is most important to me, taking care of the family.

I 'hope' that I would take the job that I love over the money but I guess I could not know for sure since I've not found the job that I love. :-

modest payy, unless I feel my family deserves more, in which case, i might think about sacrificing my own enjoyment for theirs

Happiness is more important than money, as long as you can eat and pay your bills.  I've never had a lot of money but I have been happy in the jobs that I've had (at least most of them).

I worked at a job that I loved, but they had me doing the work of two people, the pay was decent enough, but I walked out after 10 years - the stress was just too high. (I have always been a multi tasker so it wasn't that I was too lazy to do the work & they did hire 2 people to replace me) I found a job making $3.00 less an hour, but it was a great place to work & the raises came fast once they saw I was dedicated & willing to give 110%. I also got a bonus nearly each week & $1000.00 for 'end of the years bonus.' You just never know how a job is going to turn out until you have been there. But yes, I will take a lower pay & be happy, than higher pay & be stressed to the max - just have to make some spending adjustments.

I would prefer to work at a job that I like for less pay than one that I don't like for more pay.

i am lucky to have a job I both enjoy and get paid well.... .but i have a lot of responsibilities and it can be very difficult at times.  I do think it would be so nice to work a little less for a little less money to have more time w/ my family -- but we live in an expensive area and bills are high --- so it hasn't happenned to work out for me to make that choice.

I, too, am also lucky enough to have a job I love with great pay and benefits. But if faced with the choice of loving my job at a lower pay or hating my job with higher pay, I would have to go with loving my job. You spend too much time there to be unhappy. I've been there, done that and would never do it again.

I just retired from a job I loved with lower pay. If I had it to do all over again, I would do the same. It wasn't until the last few weeks before I retired that I had trouble going to work. Every other day was wonderful.

I'll work any job regardless of the wages I just want to be sure when I am at a work site that I'm doing the job and its done correctly lot of people think of because the money is good the job is going to be easy also but you have to remember theses compaines that are paying high end price to people like us want the job done correctly and want it done in the order they ask so because you have a higher pay doesnt mean the job is for anyone. You got make sure you know the job can get it done because if you fool around and dont know what your doing there goes your high end job pay and your jobless now
