at what age did you take your kids to the movies?

my son will be 4 in a month
we would like to take him to go see CARS 2 but not sure he can sit still through the movie
how early or at what age is going to the movies a good idea?

 :)I have 3 boys ages 9,10,14 and ive learned over thers that if the movie is interesting enough they will set thourgh it lol i thought every kid would set though teenage mutant ninja turtles lol but when my 10yr old was 5yrs we took him to his 1st movie and he didnt set though it we took him again at 5 to see lion king and he sit though all of it so we have learned its all about the movie GOOD LUCK!!! cars is a great movie i think he will love it enough to set though it.....

My daughter is 12 and I can't recall the last movie she went to.  She doesn't watch tv and really can't stand movies.  She is a little ADHD, but for the most part she just wants to talk on the phone and play outside.  I was 4 or 5 when my mom took me to my first movie, E.T.
