longer life: happiness vs. diet and excercise
« on: July 14, 2011, 11:34:51 am »
I get the need for diet and exercise because it’s like brushing your teeth but is that really making you happy?  I mean isn’t the key to a long life really all about what makes one happy?  If you spend your whole life counting calories and exercising but you aren’t happy doing it isn’t that going to cut back your life span just as if you were smoking?  Yes there are other health factors and family history plays a big part but if you are happy with your life isn’t that more important that listening to everyone else and being unhappy?

People shouldn't worry so much about what foods are healthy. They should eat what they like but this doesn't mean they should pig-out and get fat. Certain occupations do require eating/drinking certain foods/beverages such as boxing, MMA, and acting, and those people can be exceptions. You get one life, enjoy it.

I find myself when I am in a peaceful mood I am hardly hungry. I tend to perform much better in terms of energy level by eating less which is eating once a day. I avoid eating in the evening as much as possible. Eating to me is just a habit. It’s all in the mind. It’s best to eat only when one is truly hungry.
