Just a Warning for Others Who Use Direct Deposit
« on: September 28, 2008, 08:33:10 am »
I've always used direct deposit to put my fusion cash earnings into my bank account, but I noticed that this last pay period, there was no deposit into my account. I wasnt really that worried about it because it was just $31. But yesterday I was changing my direct deposit info and noticed that someone else had changed my information to go to another bank and another account. So apparently someone else ended up with my $31. I should have written the bank info down, so I could try to find out who did this, but I was so shocked/upset that I just immediately deleted all of it and just put in my new bank info. I dont know how the person got into my fusion cash account, but I'm going to change my password and keep a close eye on my direct deposit info in case someone tries to sneak in and change it again!  :confused1:

Just wanted to let people know that this can happen and that people are hacking into accounts! Be careful!  :angry7:

wow that really stinks!!! Did you contact FC support?? Maybe they could track who changed it or if it was some kind of freak mix-up. And no way I'd give my bank info either. I don't even like giving my paypal info!

I have not had any problems with the direct deposit.  If there was a big problem, fusion would not keep it as an option.  Just be careful and I'm sure they will let you know if it keeps happening to people.  Good Luck!

:sad1:A few months ago, someone had broke into my paypal account, and tried to transfer $80 to them through my checking account.. The paypal people asked me if I requested it, because it looked funny to them , since it was requested in lbs. I told them NO! and they didn't send that person {from England} any money.. I had to go to my bank, and close that bank account, and re open a new one !!!! BE CAREFUL !!!!!!!

There is always a problem when you allow others into your  account. That's why you have to be careful who you give this info to.  The person inputting info may not be honest, especially if they have your account #.

That's crazy, I just signed up for direct deposit and am new to fustion cash. I was really worried about doing it in the first place. Now I'm a little freaked out, maybe I should delete my info.

Wow! That sux. Thanks for the heads up. I guess if someone got your password this would be easy to do. Gonna double check mine each time before I cashout in the future.

Yes, this is certainly true, but none of the posts in this thread mentioned that anybody allowed others into their account or that they gave out their personal info.
