Why would a guy let his finger nails grow long?

I was shopping the other day and this guy in front of me had long finger nails, I was just wondering why a guy would let his nails grow so long

• The Handy-Dandy Bio-Screwdriver
• Can scoop out more boogers in one pick
• Can scoop a quick snort of "nose dust"
• Great for scratching those mosquito bites he picked up at the lake
• Getting ready to dress up like a woman for Halloween
• Getting ready to dress up like a woman for a drag show
• Getting ready to dress up like a woman for his own amusement
• Easier to pick up pennies from the ground
• Member of a rock band (Do they still get all gussied up like the big-hair 80s Glam Rock?)
• Guitar Pickin' Freak
• A bartender has to crack open tons of cans of beer throughout the night
• He likes the massage chairs at the local nail salon
• He would be SO unfashionable with only long toe-nails
• The middle painted with a hunter's blaze orange gives a bright message to the idiot driver that just cut him off

I think that most men that let their nail grow , let them grow because they just dont like short nails. Me my self I like to cut my nails so I really cant relate to someone that grow they nails.

Men and women are both born with finger nails that grow. Why should it be fine for a woman to have long finger nails, but for a man to do it too, people see it as something wrong or weird?
