I was in Dallas Tx and saw it on the news and could not believe it was really happening in the United States. Never forget September 11, 2001

I was at home getting ready for work and watching Good Morning America when they showed it as it was happening.

I was sitting in my 11th grade History class taking the Indiana State Graduation Exam.  I remember when the announcement come over the school sound system.  The teaches were told to turn on the televisions in all the rooms.  I remember seeing the plane hit the first tower...It made my stomach drop.  It was a sad day. :(

I was working at a company called Builders Lighting & Design at the time when a few people in the break room had the news on and called everyone in the room to watch what just happened. We all went silent for a good minute.

I was at home in Austin, Texas. I was still in bed but watching TV -- one of the morning talk shows.  And there was the first breaking news that a plane had hit The World Trade Center. This was the first plane.  Little did we know at that moment what was very soon to unfold.  :crybaby2:

I was at work at a company that had a huge screen for tele-conferencing.  We sat in the conference room in stunned silence watching it unfold after the first plane crashed into the WTC.

I was in 7th grade Home Ec. when the attacks first started. I did not find out about them until walking in to my next period Spanish class. The teacher had the TV on and I just remember them replaying the planes hitting the WTC over and over. Looking back now, I don't think I was old enough to really comprehend what it all meant. However, I know I will never forget where I was on that awful day.

I was ten years old living in Southern Missouri, I was at school.  I guess I was in 4th or 5th grade, didn't really know what was going on, I do remember that gas prices shot up and people where sitting in line to buy gas before they thought it would go up to $5.

I was in a motel getting ready to go to work in downtown Dallas when I got a phone call from my daughter telling me to turn on the TV and watch what was happening on CNN.  I sat on the bed and watched for over an hour with my daughter on the phone as the tragic events unfolded before us.  After about an hour I told my daughter I needed to call work and check in and I would call her right back.  When I called work they told me not to come in because they were sending everybody home.  So I called my daughter back and we made plans to meet for lunch where we spent most of the afternoon watching the news.

I was in history class, ironically.   :o

I was working for Fort Worth ISD. I had just gotten off the school bus when a friend told me that a plane has just hit the world trade center. I didn't believe it until I went home and saw it on the news. Afterwards, I was still shocked that this had happened.

We were at home in Salem, Oregon.  I don't turn on TV during the day but my mother called to tell us to turn it on....we were pretty much glued to it for the rest of the day. :crybaby2: :crybaby2: :star: :star:

I was only eight years old when it happened but I was in Georgia most likely in school. I think I was in the 3rd or 4th grade not to sure.  Gas prices went up and people went crazy is all I know.  I know I am feeling the affects from it  now with hard to get a job and high gas prices and everything has gone up it makes it hard to get a start on your adult life when it feelings like the world is holding you back.
