yes, i know, i don't know why suryvey ask for races, are they trying to group of different nationallity for the research or something?

I think they do it to mark eliegibility. Because sometimes directly after I submit race. it says "sorry unfortunately you are ineligible for this survey."

They probably do it it get a broad sampling of respondents.  Some companies might be looking for a specific demographic or they might want to get a broad view of who is using the products.  Like age.  Sometimes their demographic might be a certain age group.

well, surveys ask for races, because they want to know who is actually taking the survey. Companies may also shift their products to cater to the majority of the race that participated in the survey. i.e, companies are spending money to make money.
