Homework Preference
« on: October 12, 2011, 10:32:33 am »
Do you prefer your kids to have a bunch of homework, or not.  My daughter's teacher last year didn't give homework and I loved it, but I not sure it was the best for her.  What do you think?

Why did you love it because you didn't want to help your child with extra work?  I don't think parents should rely just on the schools to educate their kids.  I don't have kids but if I did and if the school didn't give them homework I would.  I would definitely give them extra lessons of that I want them to learn or what I felt they were lacking.  Learning doesn't stop when the school day ends.

having to help them is a pain at times, but homework is probably good for our kids!

I agree that there should be reinforcement at home.  But I love the time she had to play outside and do other things she enjoyed.
