People who "never" get sick really mean, "I don't get sick that often".  For me personally, I literally only get a cold/flu once every 2 years.  I do get headaches and have other random weird stuff happening to me more often than that, but because it only lasts a few hours or a day, I don't count that as being "sick".

they might have a smokers cough which wouldn't infect you anyway.

What bothers me worse is how these people will never admit when they're sick!If I'm sick,I let people know as not to spread the germs.People I know however, will try to keep it a secret and hang around me until I catch their cold! ::)

just because you cough doesnt mean your sick, you can just have something in your throat

In the winter months my bronchitis always flares up. The cold air is a major trigger for me. But actually being sick, sore throat, sinus congestion, chills, fever, etc...that doesn't happen to me too often.

The last cold I had was in February of 2008.  I think I coughed for 2 months before it all went away.   :dontknow: :dontknow:

+1

I couldn't agree with you more.  Just because you get sick, doesn't mean everyone else has to get your germs, too.  The worst is when you are at some kind of function, be it family or friend, and someone is hacking away, or just has that look to them like they have absolutely no business being out in public in their current state.  Don't come to me wanting to give me a hug/kiss, or after you've been coughing into your hand and want to come shake my hand.  While it's a bummer you'd have to miss a party, holiday, or what not, it's more courteous to just stay home and not expose everyone to what you have.  Others will understand and be more appreciative than if you came and got everyone sick.  And yes, having a cold is being sick, contrary to what several people I know believe.  You're not just sick when you have a fever or are vomiting.

Getting sick happens.  It's no fun.  But, if you do get sick, please have consideration for others - cough/sneeze into your elbow (not your hands!), wash your hands often, and stay home when it's appropriate.  Remember, sick days are called sick days for a reason.  Three and four day weekends when the weather gets nice don't seem to fall under that category...
