exercise

I'm very proud of myself. I've been going to the gym and working out for the past few weeks and I'm really starting to tell a difference. It makes me feel so much better after a good workout. ;D

I miss that after-workout endorphin rush.  I picked too many classes this semester, and have been so swamped with assignments and studying that I've put exercise to the side, to my detriment.  I've gained back the weight I'd lost prior to this semester (and then some).   :-[

Next semester, though, I'll be taking fewer classes and will be living in an apartment complex within walking distance to my college (~20 minutes or so walking, due to waiting at crosswalks and such), so I'l be walking to get there every day instead of being dropped off via car.  Plus being closer will be giving me easier access to the school's gym, indoor pool (for winter), track, and tennis courts.

Some people get their highs from drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, or any other vice; however, I get mine from exercise induced endorphins!!  I don't really look forward to exercising, I have so many things going on with 3 kids, but LOVE how I feel when it's done.  I've always been a home work out girl, but my friend offered me a membership at her new gym.  I have just recently used an eliptical machine and really like a change from the treadmill.  I hurt my foot running so the low impact of machines has been a great way to still get a great workout and letting my foot heal.
The Biggest Loser Show is my favorite.  It is so inspiring.  Everyone can exercise at any stage or age.  Get moving today, you'll love how it makes you feel!!

I have been attending a Silver Sneakers exercise class for seniors and even though it's pretty mild, I still feel better that I am doing something. I also ride the stationary bike 20 or 30 minutes a day, but no big hills yet.

I try to walk every morning but there are times that I just do not have the will power.  I think it is a good idea to keep fit and put forth the effort to stay that way. :angel11:

I love riding my bike, walking or bouncing on a mini-tramp indoors. The hard thing is to convince myself to get up off of the couch, or from behind the computer. It's going to be especially important over the next few months, with all of the holiday eating.

Exercise is great for your mind and body.  Plus eating healthy also helps too.

Congratulations on your healthy endeavor!Eating right should be mixed in there as well.  I worked out the entire month of September but only managed to get two or three workouts in per week in October.  I have been doing two cardiovascular workouts per week, in November, which is about all of the time that I can spare at this time.  I am going skiing for a couple of days next week which is always a good cardiovascular burn...gonna try and keep up with my kids.

Congratulations on working out!  I need to get back into it myself.  Before it got so cold here I was walking in the park after work from time to time, but I used to lift weights in high school.  I should start doing that again.
