colored or white lights?
« on: December 03, 2011, 08:40:27 am »
Do you have colored or white lights on your tree?  Which do you like the best?  To me, a tree has to have colored lights as that is what we have always had.  I think they are the pretiest.

we have colored lights on our tree as well.  hubby also decorates the entire front yard, complete with 8 ft tall inflatables of santa in his home from the north pole, penguins, snowmen, a turkey (dont ask me he likes it)...and a pirate ship w/Santa as the capt. and reindeer peeking out of the windows on it lol.  he also uses a ton of lights on trees and the house, has a musical thingy that makes the lights turn on and off in time to the music :)

It depends on the decor...One year I had a silver theme, so I used only white lights but for the past several years I've used nothing but colored lights.

I have always preferred the colored lights over the white lights.  And if the colored lights blink that is even better!

I think it depends on the colour theme of your tree. White lights go well with a blue theme and yellow lights with a red theme, but coloured lights seem the "happiest" to me

I've always preferred colored lights for my tree, but I can definitely see the attraction for all white lights.  Usually I try to put up a small tree decoration that only has white lights in it.

I like one solid color, red is the color of choice.  If I use white lights it will be with the red lights.  But it really depends on your choice of colors.

I perfer color. I think white is too plain. This year I have my fiberoptic tree up. It's a really neat tree.

I have decorated with both colored & white lights. I think it just depends on whats being lit up.

Well I liek the tree with colored lights, and that is how I decorate mine.  But my front yard has white lights only.  I have a pine tree on the front of the house so I decorated that one with big white lights and the biggest Christmas decorations I can find, usually silver and blue.  I have an blown up snow man and some gift boxes with white lights but colorful on the front.  and I just love those light nets that are in fashion now just trow them on the bushes and voila.
