Do you like or dislike facebook?

  I don't like facebook but I stay on there.  I mainly don't like facebook because I have a psycho ex-sister-in-law who started writing me nasty notes on facebook.  Some were very very dark and nasty and I tried responding to her which is not the right thing to do because it starts enabling the person to drag you down to their level which in this case is a dark, evil place.  But then I blocked her but there are other family members who I get sick of hearing their daily tirade.  My son says I should stay on there and show them a christian attitude but it is really hard.  Well, anyway do you guys like facebook?  Some people seem to "live" for it

I started out not liking it now I like it, I found old friends and class mates have a small store and a fanpage good advertisement.

i like facebook, but i have a certain person as a friend on there, and everyday she complains and nags on and on about bad stuff, i'm thinking about deleting her as a friend...focus on the positive and life is much happier

I believe that if you use it just for business it is OK. But most use it for silly reasons and open themselves up to all kinds of problems.

Facebook is great.  I use Facebook to raise money for charity.  I also use Facebook as a ministry and post Bible verses.  Many positive things can be done on Facebook.

My family is on Facebook; that's how I keep in touch with what's going on. I also have found friends and enjoy the game Farmville. Facebook connects the world.

Love and Hate thing for me. On the one hand it is good because it helps you stay in touch with people you other wise would not. It is like the modern phone book especially with being able to chat and all. What I do not like about it is how it enslaves people 24/7. It is a bit too much imo. I remember every time I walked into a computer lab back in college, everyone was on Facebook instead of doing work. And by the door where the 5 students who needed to work on their papers but had to wait for some computers to free up. And like the OP says I too have had some bad experiences, not so much from fb but from people who are insane  :-

I don't dislike Facebook, I dislike some of the people that use Facebook. And I don't know call me old school but I prefer picking up the phone and calling an old friend then to send them a quick 1 liner.

I like Facebook but I don't get on every day.  It's a wonderful way to keep up with people and get back in touch with old friends.  In fact, there is a group of gals that all graduated in 1964 about 100 miles from here.  We all get together for lunch once a month and people come from all over.  It wouldn't have happened without Facebook.

It's great for finding old friends but that's basically the only benefit I have found.  I'd much rather see someone in person.

Facebook is the modern day gossip station. I dont like it, and dont spend much or any time on it.

I like FaceBook because I can keep up with any updates from family and friends. I also found a few friends from highschool who I had lost contact with. What I don't like is when people start posting all their problems like if everyone needs to know but those are the people I end up erasing.

I love FB. It saves me sooo many phone calls most of the time. I agree with when people start posting all there problems on there it does get very annoying. I don't know who would want all that crap out there for everyone to know about there personal life anyways. If my husband and I were having marital problems I sure wouldn't want everyone is the whole world knowing about it. I see that a lot.

Facebook is great...in Moderation.

I enjoy it because we get to see pictures of our kids and their kids on a more regular basis.  They just post to their FB albums.

I enjoy chatting with friends there and I use it for my online business.

Facebook has its negative side, in my opinion.  Some people put WAY tooooo much information on their wall.

  I don't like facebook when you use it that way. It is so wrong to slander people on facebook. Just keep showing them a Christian attitude. God will be with you. Never come down to their level. May God be with you and keep you from falling.
