A bald barbie

I heard the other day that Mattel is probably coming out with a bald barbie.
I think the main request came from families of children with cancer. Showing them kids with cancer  that they are beautiful even without hair
I  hope  it happens soon. I think that is one of the best things a company could do.

They could have gotten the inspiration from my sister; I think she was practicing to be a cosmetologist and cut the hair off most of her dolls.  Seriously, I think that would be a great idea. I could also see them doing something similar for breast cancer awareness; maybe dress up the bald barbie with pink and white complete with a scarf or bandana over her head.

I think that is great!  If it will put a smile on a little girl (or even a little boy's) face I'm all for it.  I think adults will appreciate this Barbie too.  Barbie is such an icon that everyone can have some feelings toward it.

Um, I don't know if I like this idea because if they go into remission and get better then they'll have this bald doll to remind them of their illness. Me personally I wouldn't want a bald doll for one, and two, It's bad luck...People need to focus on getting better, this doll would put out negative energy and we know the road to recovery isn't just physically but mentally as well.

     I think it is a great idea to educate people about cancer because it is true some people will lose their natural hair.

For many years Barbie is every little girls dream.  It is a wonderful thing to have a bald Barbie that children with cancer can relate to.  You can be bald and still beautiful.  I can't wait to see the outcome of the new bald barbie.

Since the parents like the bald barbie, you should buy the doll for yourself.  When is comes to little girls, they like the doll for the hair.   I would collect the bold barbie, but a little girl will not play with this doll.

Looks like my brother was way ahead of the times when he cut all my barbies hair off then. 

I think it is nice of the company to do that with all of the cancers people have.

yeah i heard about that too. i think it's an great idea. since some people like to have dolls that look like them. so why not bald. they need some with short hair too imo
