Mine haven't qualfied for several days either, and I did nothing differently.  I have basically given up on them.  Waste of time and annoying pop-up.

Mine was going well today, but suddenly started the infinite no-good search problem.

Mine, too. Again. This is why I stopped searching this way in the first place. I truly have these subjects as a query and I am told it is invalid. That's okay though, I get better, more helpful results from another search engine, but it was worth a try, anyway.

So far I have made 587 searches for 145 cents since I installed the new toolbar. It's not necessary to switch your homepage to Yahoo as I first thought. Just be sure you see the little 'Y' logo inside the FC search bar. For every four searches I get a penny and I am notified after each four that my search is valid. I generally use a phrase for my searches rather than a single word and vary the subject matter when I do my searches. That seems to satisfy the automated system.

Has anyone else been getting credited for the full nickel a day? Any successes? There seems to be a lot of frustration according to the above posts. I, for one, welcome this new feature from FC and am taking full advantage of it.

It was not working for me until I switched my homepage to Yahoo and now have the Yahoo logo (a little 'Y!') within the search bar. Those of you having problem getting credited might try that if you haven't already. Now for every four searches I get a penny and I am notified after each four that my search is valid. I generally use a phrase for my searches rather than a single word and vary the subject matter when I do my searches. That seems to satisfy the automated system.

I had the little Y in the search box but did not have yahoo as my home page. I changed it but still every search says an invalid search plus my search count is not going up, which according to another post in another thread from admin says your count should go up even if it is an invalid search. I have submitted a support ticket but no response yet. Oh well, hopefully it will start working again some day.

I get credit but only if I am using the search option with the Yahoo "Y".

You can find me hanging out on Google :)

I had trouble searching in the beginning but finally figured it out. Keep searches simple. They come in groups of four. Each search in the group has to be valid. Do not repeat anything. Some member say that if you search a website, that is invalid.  :dontknow:

The searches that have worked for me are when I search places, people, and topics.  i hope that will help you.

So far I've been able to get my 5 cents every day for 20 qualified searches. Today I had a hiccup. After 12 searches for 3 cents, I got the dreaded 'your search is invalid' message and my searches were no longer qualifying and my search count stalled at 12. I decided to reboot to start fresh and give it another go. Success! The count began to rise again and I had my 5 cents in a few minutes. I'm thinking that it might take a few minutes for their tracking system to reset too once you get that 'invalid search' message.

I would suggest being patient with it. Once you get the hang of what is considered a valid search, it's an extra nickel. A daily task can take longer than 20 searches. Seems worth pursuing to me. Helps you get closer to the $15 in offers you need to cash out and it's a daily opportunity to make easy pennies, like the DCE and the PTC offers. That's a buck forty-five in February. I'm grateful the FC staff created this option for us.

My counter just reset since it is a new month but I came pretty close to maximizing for January. I just take my time. My search box has the small yahoo Y in it but I never changed my home page. Very definitely you have to not repeat, at least not one right after another or probably within the group of 4 to qualify. And it has taken a lot of folks a while to realize about the 4, if one in the group of 4 is invalid that whole batch is DQ'd, that is why your count may not match up with what you believe your earnings should be. Example if your count is 20 should equal 5 cents in earning if all were valid. if count is 20 but earnings are 4 cents, one of your groups of 4 had something invalid and you can keep searching to get to the 5 cents for the day. Once you have reached the 20 valids for a day, right next to the search box will appear something to the effect of Maximum searches reached, then you know you can keep searching, but those additional searches are not going to earn any more money.
Hope this is helpful. For those that have not seen count changes or increases in earnings, it might be time to clear your cache or to clean up your cookies and see if that helps? Good luck.
