An FYI: Possible Reason for (some) Surveys Not Crediting
« on: March 28, 2012, 02:21:43 pm »
I just noticed this the other day, in the FusionCash T.O.S. - (I'm not sure why I missed this before), but just in case anyone else isn't aware of this, here it is copied/pasted from T.O.S. page:

A. Offer Completion.

viii.  Occasionally, offer links can redirect to other offers. If an offer link is redirecting to another offer, the user may not complete it. Any attempt to complete a redirected offer will not result in credit.

So I'm assuming that what this means in regard to surveys is this:

When it says "Sorry, you didn't qualify for this survey. However, we have other surveys available. Would you like to try and qualify for another one?" (or something similar), IF you say yes to this, and then you go on and complete a survey, you won't get credit for doing that survey.

I have had this happen to me: I said yes to trying again on a survey, and then saw no credit for the survey.

Probably many of you already knew this (by reading the TOS more carefully than I did - :-[ ), but I'm sure some of you don't, so......

 :) HTH!

If I'm wrong on this, Admin or ??, please let me/other FC members know!

That has not been my experience. I think this section is referring to regular offers, not the daily surveys. I've often been credited for one of the surveys that are offered after the initial survey is a no-go. Often. So I would recommend exhausting all your chances with each daily survey sponsor. I never click on 'No thanks'. You reduce your odds of qualifying for a daily survey greatly by doing that.

You might ask for clarification by filing a support ticket on this. FC is always there to help and the quote is rather vague on exactly what offers they are talking about. Just my opinion here.

To increase your chances of get credited for any daily survey, keep the 'congrats' screen open and keep checking your account page until it credits, That's important.  :peace:

Sometimes, if I don't qualify for one, and this comes up, I close it, go back to the original offer try, and click it on again, rather then be redirected.  It seems the only rules regarding those surveys are that you can complete one a day - and if you are not qualified for one, you haven't completed it.  So there should be no problem going back and clicking it on again - unless we are only allowed to attempt a survey once a day....I just checked and it said feel free to come back the same day and try again if you don't qualify the first time around.

Exactly right, but has that worked for you? Have you had success and been approved for any daily surveys using the technique you just described? If I don't qualify after exhausting all my chances or hitting a survey that I know is a dead end, I go back a couple of hrs later, clear my history and cookies, and start a brand-new session. Doing that has helped me qualify and get approved for at least one daily survey on days that otherwise would have been pretty bleak money-wise.

The rule for crediting as I understand it is: we can attempt all 9 sponsors of the dailies as many times as we wish but once we are approved and credited for one, we've gor to wait 24 hrs before we can get credited for another from that particular sponsor. A countdown comes up if you try, right?

This can be true for the FC Surveys, they are specific and trying to continue on with "other survey options" might not yeild you credit because its not the same survey anymore.

HOWEVER for the regular daily surveys, they are not specific but rather any survey they offer, and it is perfectly fine to continue with other survey options, I reccomend it! Most of the times Ive gotten credit from SurveyHead or SSI or even MyThoughtCounts or Samplicious it has been on the 2nd 3rd or even 4th survey after continuing on.
You still see this message when doing some FC Surveys because they go through that site and they have a generic message that it will say every single time you DQ untill there are no surveys left.

My rule of thumb is, if its a FC Survey and you see that message, just exit out. If its a daily survey, by all means keep going if you want to, it will work just fine.

That section of the TOS refers specifically to offers and not surveys; when you click an offer but the page that loads is not the same as the advertised site (happens rarely).  It was written before we had FC Surveys or daily surveys, which is why it can cause confusion.  I will update that section to be more clear in the next TOS revision.

In both daily surveys and FC surveys, you may be redirected to a different survey upon DQ.  It's fine to continue in either of those cases, and you will qualify & be credited.

A small proportion of users have reported trouble getting credited for redirected surveys from FC Surveys - but in some cases we investigated and found adware/hijacking software that was causing the trouble.  So it's really up to you, if you want to continue with a redirected survey or not.  But it should credit in either case, if you complete the survey successfully.

I guess it's confusing for some because they are all "surveys" only those surveys described tend to fall under the daily offers, so they are labeled "offers" rather than "surveys" even though they are, in fact, surveys.

Anyway, in answer to the person above who wondered if, when I go back and click on the "offer" again, do I qualify the next time - yes, it has happened.  Not always, but if I decide to go for an offer/survey - find I don't qualify, am asked if I wish to attempt another, exit out, if I have some time I will click it on again, and often enough I have qualified for the survey the next time around.  Perhaps I could just let them redirect me, but when I used to do that, I never got the credit even when completing a survey.

Ditto! That's what I have had happen more often than not, too.

I'll have to remember to try the "exit - then click on the offer/survey again" trick the next time I try a daily survey and run into the redirect option.
 Thanks for the tip, timetravel!!

Interesting !!!!

However, I have been credited for those second and third offers within the daily offers at times too but not others. Not sure why that happens but I will continue to keep trying those multiple offers to maximize return ;D
